What an absolute farce this whole thing has been, probably appointed by the government so they can balls it up and create more jobs for 'friends ' to sort out on select committees and associationed inquiries. Giving top Mark's to Eton and downgrading poorer areas.

Some appointed clown on this morning saying they need to adjust their algorithm criteria....what was it they used? ...a hat with some random letters in.

Its good to see some universities (including Oxford) are honouring offer irrespective of these rigged "results"
I only wish i was some position of power where i could positively discriminate against the elitist scum that run/attend these establishments.

Actually introduced by the last labour government in 2008.

Yes, but that doesn't mean the people organizing it aren't connected to the present government in some way?, it may have worked well under Labour?

Neatly summed up, paulus, but the drums in the background are getting ever louder.

"Go away and shut up" Williamson, responsible for yet more abject late decisions, will, no doubt, attempt to shift the blame onto the teachers and the traditional bogey men, the unions, for it all.

This is an ever-increasing trait, sadly, to deflect all responsibility away from the true culprits.

Johnson, himself, breathlessly announced a connection between obesity and virus deaths which has since taken a back seat. I can picture him now, spluttering and gesticulating, "I warned you fat fookers about the danger of gutsing down all those stale jam sandwiches but would you take any notice of me, would you (fist)? Would you (fist)? Would you (fist)? Now look how the death rate has increased and it's all your fault!".

The health secretary is due to announce that Public Health England will be abolished and its pandemic work transferred to a new body. To put this another way, they are being blamed for yet another Govt. fiasco. But wait a moment. PHE are an Executive Agency of the Department of Health who have ultimate responsibility and who is the person in charge? Step forward that shining beacon of honesty, none other than a certain Matt Hancock. Say no more.

Now we hear that the PM is being questioned, once again, about his 'possible' second visit to Durham. It surely cannot be true, can it? Oh, I get it now. The first journey was made in order to test the condition of his left eye and, of course, he had to repeat the journey in order to test the right. Smirk, smirk.

Johnson has surrounded himself with a group of lackeys who massage his ego by slavishly saying "Yes" but this only results in a total lack of competency and any sense of balance. Talking of which, where is he during this crisis? Has he nipped off on holiday again or has he found another convenient fridge to hide his spineless self in???

Then there is the "B" word creeping up ever closer to us all and we have the same mendacious "Gang of Three" at the helm to steer us through the choppy waters as we battle valiantly against Johnny Foreigner. Does this prospect fill anyone with confidence judged on their past performance? Oh, joy.

I previously voiced my concerns about the way things were heading but what an underestimation. The level of ineptitude can barely drop any lower and the whole thing is now an absolute cat's arse trophe.
