FC Halifax Town have confirmed that striker Devante Rodney will not be available for their upcoming play-off campaign.

It will be a major blow to Town, with Rodney having scored five goals in eight league games in his second loan spell from Salford.

But, speaking on the club’s website, Town boss Pete Wild said: “Devante Rodney is close to accepting terms with another club in readiness for the start of the 2020-21 season.”

Wherever Devante's going it won't be back to Pools - there are clubs in the NL signing players but we're not one of them - not even the ones offers have been made to. Nearly 3 weeks in the role and still not a peep out of Martin Jesper. Has he done a Dickie Dosh?

Good luck to Devante. He did his bit to keep us up, shame about the rest of the season. I hope he has a long and successful career. Given the league situation - not knowing when it will restart or under what conditions, I can understand employers not wanting to take people on. Unfortunately the talent pool/ availability will continue for some time yet.

Yeah agree trevwoody. Good luck to Devante. Who could forget those two goals against Donny? He reminds me a bit of Jermaine Easter years ago. Did hardly anything at Pools and then didn't do too badly elsewhere. Those goals against Donny will live on in the memory for a few years to come.

do not think he has set the world alight since leaving pools. his two goals in that game proved pointless at the end of the day. if they hadn,t he would have been a poolie legend with a possibly longer and more memorable career with us. good luck to him anyway. i have seen far far worse.
