Bad news, its looking very bad. The parents have been taken to the police station and two other people have been taken into custody with blankets over their head. There's a press conference at 6:30.

You would think that if they had got the little girl back they would have said so but for some people to be arrested and the parents being taken somewhere doesn't look good. You can't help but think that the press conference is to announce that they've recovered a body. Hope not.

Can't say I did. Best in Europe you say? Better than the REP or the KSK? Nearest I got was a Portuguese guy I knew, ex regular army who was seriously messed up after what they called 'la ultramar' which is Angola. We had a long conversation once in Guarda (Northern Portugal) and he opened up about some of the things that had gone on there. Othr than that I spent an interesting couple of weeks working with the Spanish Legion though, a right bunch of hard lads they were - serious nutters.

Back on subject, I guess this case is down to pure police work, its entirely detective work. Once they have a lead then they can send the bad lads in. Personally I'd put these bastards into a womens prison.

I got into serious cr@p over the KSK, almost a visit to Colch so I guess I am bias against them, I did have a laugh with some at the SFSG at St Athans.
Talking about the Spanish Legion yes they are nutters and i din't know they hated Portugal and everything to do with Portugal until I had a good yarn with a 6ft 6in tall one called Jesus sat ion a wall at Cadiz harbour.

So whats the score then with this SFSG? As I understand it its basically a spearhead unit isn't it? And why the farking hell is it in Cardiff?

As far as I can remember it's a huge hanger in RAF St Athans where they stockpile everything from Snowcats to compo rations so incase of a long term operation they can get the goods out to the front line fast. Add to that loads of para trained personel mainly from the army who have come close to being selected for SF but due to lack of numbers are being held in reserve for rapid deployment.
The reason we went there was to use the Helo live firing range and the place is crawling with German army unit's they seemed to outnumber the Brits 3 to 1.
I have just read that next year it is having a massive £14B upgrade to become a new defence training academy so the MoD must like it, it's 22 years since I last visited it and reading the info there are no mention's of the Germans still being based there.
