I thought he was the most exciting player Pools had signed in years and in some ways reminded me of Dick Malone (Tricky Dicky) from the 70s who like Peter K often forgot he was a defender and went on those blistering take people on runs up the right wing. Anyway, he was young, made mistakes, sometimes costly ones but above all else he tried and gave effort which as a Pools fan is all I have ever wanted from our players. I digress though. Does anyone on The Bunker know how much Pools actually got from Luton for Peter? If it was disclosed somewhere I don't recall seeing it. Any idea anybody? sctatchinghead

Yeah remote a good idea. Think he made a big mistake going to Luton and not to play. Still, i don't know all the circumstances.

He's from Luton if I remember rightly, probably wouldn't want to move too far.

Yeah I guess that what the overiding factor and after reading more about this from a Luton news source it says he has a relative who plays for LTFC. I did see a fee of £100,000 bandied about by their fans somewhere.

If I remember Pools got, 6 3xpacks of Duchamps, a case or 2 of warm water, a tonne of Bottle Tops, and a 20% discount Card for Venezia. Add ons (depending on appearances) were a new computer chair, a vibrator, 10% discount card at Verrils, Happy Socks and some homemade bread.

My mind is a bit befuddled by alcohol during Lockdown, but I'm sure this is what was fact on the Bunker.

[quote="phil"]If I remember rightly we didn't get as much for him as we hoped because he only had 6 months on his contract, which is the frustrating thing about being at this level. We can only really afford short contracts, but it leaves us wide open to good players leaving for nothing/a lot less than they're worth.

thats the system really and not pools fault. you know if we handed 2 or 3 year contracts out the player would either not fit in, be crap or be a sick note walking.

Well, I think we at least have a healthy sell on clause which'll give us some money should he get transferred again. Whether the club will see that money though...
