Houchen was a good player wasn't he.

And I don't think I've seen such a jovial manager as one of the blues bosses. Seemed to be loving the occasion.

Yes I enjoyed watching that, Houch won just about every header he went for, good job as Steve Ogrisovic had an absolute mare in the Coventry goal.

That was the first cup final I missed , did a workmate a favour and covered his 12 hour shift. FA Cup finals never seemed the same to me after that. Me and a couple of mates were just talking about that at the weekend , how up until a certain time we could name all the teams that contested the FA Cup final, I could've probably named the semi finalists as well , up until a certain time , after that the cup final suddenly seemed to lose its appeal. I could tell you every team that contested it from 1965 - 1995 after that it becomes blurred and I couldn't tell you who played in it last year.

That 87 final was end to end exciting though. Enjoyed the semi finals on BBC the other week from 1977 and 1997 Everton v Liverpool and Chesterfield v Boro

only problem with repeat games is that you know the final score before you start. bit like pools, you knew the result before the kick off.
