Boris Johnson missed four COBRA meetings regarding Covid 19 in February

Where do you reckon he was?

Me, nursing a black eye or writing his book

Still, never mind, eh?

And so it fucking should be

The Prime Minister of Great Britain and North Ireland didn’t turn up for these critical meetings and no-one bats a fucking, c.unting eyelid, these actions have cost thousand of lives, we aren’t all in it together, otherwise Mr Johnson would be serving his country, instead of being a fucking cowerdly arsed wanker

Yes it is. All brought on by himself. Have a read of that times article and come back and defend him. Please read it though. And remember it's in the times not the guardian.

He's Teflon. Nazanine Zhagari-Radcliffe, Arcuri, misappropriation of public funds, Darius Guppy, letterboxes, piccaninnies with watermelon smiles, unfaithful to his wife while she had cancer............ all is forgiven. The Cult of Boris. And it's terrifying.

Yes the staggering evidence is relentless and plenty.

No way can Johnson survive this as PM no matter how long he hides at Chequers. Criminal charges should be considered. His mates in the press are telling the truth now, the games up.

As noted the problem here is the sheer weight of evidence and the fact it is a newspaper that is highly supportive of him. He has been ‘lucky’ that he contracted the virus as it will gain him sympathy but also ensure he is not held to account for the last few weeks. It will not make the slightest difference to his survival as we are all prepared to go ‘oooooh’ when he becomes a father for the (insert a figure) time

Nobody got my vote, and that was the problem - no sensible alternative choice.

I spoilt my paper.

Can't read the article without subscribing, will have to nip out for the paper, at least that's now classed as an essential item by the police.

Sunday Times also makes direct links to austerity and preparation for no deal Brexit. Murdoch and his crew cheerleaders for both of course.

It is all lies , half truths and inuendos. Michael Gove explained it fully on the Andrew Marr show.

Gove didn’t deny any of it or address anything specific. This is a leak from someone very close to or even a cabinet member. It is true.

You are very welcome m8. I just thought people might want to know the government's answer to the accusations. It's always good to be able to read both sides of the story. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with either side but some people on here keep saying the government don't answer the questions. Andrew Marr put the questions and Michael Gove answered them.

He didn’t answer anything directly or specifically he didn’t mention lies. He’s admitted Johnson did miss the cobra meetings speaking to Sky.

He’s claimed the article features inaccuracies but said that would be for a later date whatever that means.

Check the coronavirus thread. Horden copied and pasted the whole article. It's a staggering read.

I think you'll find he did. He addressed and explained the procedure at Cobra for a start or he did on my telly.

I have no idea if it is true or not and I have no idea if Gove is telling the truth, which is why I'm on the fence.

We have a journalist v a politician. It is an occasion where I reach for my salt pot.

I don't think we've heard the last of this. I would expect the bulletin this afternoon will have at least one question on it. I'd be amazed if there wasn't. Let's have a guess at who will address it.........Laura Kuennsburg perhaps ????

There's more subtlety with Mark ne-Francois-pas MP that sadly Derwent is struggling to achieve. It's a bit too on the nose for my liking.

Gove on Marr this morning

How some tories can watch MARR and be comfortable with how Gove responded to the questions posed is beyond belief. And this after Marr almost implored him to follow Macrons lead and to self analyse and come clean for once. This is why more and more people are getting the knives out for this government , not because of political point scoring but because they are a bunch of lying bastards who wont admit they got it wrong in the first place.

Marr - Did you sell PPE to the Chinese ?

Gove - Yes , but it wasn't from our pandemic stock of PPE

But hey ! don't worry , The economic powerhouse that is Turkey are thankfully now coming to our rescue and providing us with PPE , obviously our pandemic stock must've ran out.

You couldn't make this up.

From what I can tell on Marr he admitted there were failings, but didn't want to get into it.

He then said there were some inaccuracies in the report, but didn't want to get into it.

Clearly on the ropes from this expose but they're so incapable of actually answering any of the many questions it raises that they're just reverting to type and playing for time in the hope that people forget about it. Absolute shambles.

Mr Horden has highlighted a specific question and Gove gave an immediate answer.

That clear cut enough for you PJ.

The answer could be a lie but it can easily be checked. Ask our resident NHS expert if you want further explanation.

That's the point really isn't it.

I knew they were bitter about the election result but I never knew how deep their bitterness and hatred of defeat was. They really have got it bad. The irony is they can't see that they and their hard left friends are the real reason that uncle boris is at the helm.
It really is sad.

When somebody like me says he is on the fence on this one, they dive in on a feeding frenzy and yet they jump on the side of a guy who says he was on the fence over brexit.

They'll be calling me a tory next.

Or maybe just a parody.

Your posts are puerile and totally pointless. If you have nothing to add as you have made a stance why contribute? If you want to defend the government nobody is stopping you but your sole intention seems to be to just wind people up. I’m sorry that this topic is too serious for this.

You didn’t add the other side of the story either. You posted a completely false interpretation of a TV interview suggesting the Gove had said things that he hadn’t.
