As noted the problem here is the sheer weight of evidence and the fact it is a newspaper that is highly supportive of him. He has been ‘lucky’ that he contracted the virus as it will gain him sympathy but also ensure he is not held to account for the last few weeks. He didn’t answer anything directly or specifically he didn’t mention lies. He’s admitted Johnson did miss the cobra meetings speaking to Sky.

He’s claimed the article features inaccuracies but said that would be for a later date whatever that means.

Gove on Marr this morning

How some tories can watch MARR and be comfortable with how Gove responded to the questions posed is beyond belief. And this after Marr almost implored him to follow Macrons lead and to self analyse and come clean for once. This is why more and more people are getting the knives out for this government , not because of political point scoring but because they are a bunch of lying bastards who wont admit they got it wrong in the first place.

From what I can tell on Marr he admitted there were failings, but didn't want to get into it.

He then said there were some inaccuracies in the report, but didn't want to get into it.

Clearly on the ropes from this expose but they're so incapable of actually answering any of the many questions it raises that they're just reverting to type and playing for time in the hope that people forget about it. Absolute shambles.
