People are turning to the game to get their fix for football. It was mentioned in the early days of the game Tonton Zolo Moukoko and Cherno Samba were favourites to try to sign
Mine was a Spanish player called Onesimo, the guy was a goal machine

Mark Kerr
Freddy Adu
Cherno Samba
Supat Rungratsamee

Doesn't really count but in FIFA 08 Career Mode Matthew Bates eventually one of the worlds best centre backs. I'm currently playing FIFA 13, Luke James is crazy skilled in that game. Somehow Peter Hartley has hit an 85 rating as well as Scott Flinders, I'm 6 seasons in and have just won the Champions League a second time.

Kennedy Bakircioglu and Andrei Sigborsson or summit were always 2 of my favourites. As were Davies and Etherington from Peterbough in a later edition.

Playing the current edition at present but avoid all these podcasts and forums that tell you best players to sign as it ruins it for me.

Probably look at them when a bit bored of the game.

I've no idea about PC games for football but some good news. One of the guys I work with from Hungary spotted I was on the Pools website during a screen share. It turns out he 'managed' us all the way from lower league to winning the Champions League. He made no mention of whether the drinks were cold at the ground or if there was a new fryer. Enjoy your games.

It's that lack of realism that ruins these games for me. Nobody ever got promoted off the back of a tepid drinks offering.

Orri Freyr Oskarrson in one version (03/4 I think), you'd buy him from some Icelandic club for about £30K and if in the right (read: downloadble cheat) tactic (Scramjet?) he'd occasionally score treble figures in a season. Mysteriously he never seemed to interest the real top clubs despite this!

In FM 2008 Nacer Barazite was always a fantastic bargain buy from Arsenal U18's. I'm currently playing FM17. Auckland Palace FC. I'm also playing without real players which makes it more challenging, and I.ve just signed on loan from Liverpool a 19 year old keeper called Jordon Henderson. Weird.
