If not for those horrendous injuries, who knows what might have been.... sometimes frustrating, but he scored a few vital goals in his time for us and we shouldn't forget that. Mind you, the one that I'm thinking of now was an "Ice on the Caking" goal - the fifth in the snow at Port Vale, he put it in the net, kept sliding, and ended up tangled in the net himself, still madly celebrating as I think it was his 50th goal!

Can only echo what's been said already, the last few years have been built around a great team morale and DC has been at the forefront of that. A very genuine guy, had a couple of chats with him down the town and will always remember the (re:Neale Cooper) 'he's alright, but he thinks he's Alex f**king Ferguson' comment. I can't remember the game where he came back from injury but the place erupted when he came on the pitch after about 75 minutes and that was a true reflection of the respect he had from Pools fans.

What else can I say that has'nt been said alrght, Amazing player when he joined us, Back luck with his injuries have cost him perhaps a longer time at Hartlepool, Said on tuesday night he really has enjoyed his time at Pools.
