Le Mans 1966. Stayed in a hotel right next to the track last year. Was very cheap which turned out to be because it had been a knocking shop for years and they were redeveloping it. They weren't doing any food and I was frozen because I was driving an old van with no heating and some suspicious petrol fumes that meant the window had to be open all the time. Manager took pity on me and I ended up with a pleasant evening meal of free Leffe and peanuts while he kept popping outside for a spliff.
