I have just had a corned beef and beetroot butty, the corned beef has to be room temp and same for beetroot to really appreciate the flavours but a strong cheese savoury on a brown crusty bread is so tempting or bacon, chicken and tomato, maybe its the ham, cheddar and tomato on home made bread!

I like S&V crisps with corned beef but prefer plain with cheese savoury, C&O with ham and cheese.

Why is sausage on toast better than on bread sctatchinghead

As a kid Egg Mayo on white bread, or a white Bun with PEK and Brown soss. Too much choice now, it;s hard to find a pre packed "old fashioned", "plain sarnie for the likes of me Dad.

Corned beef with beetroot or tomato.

I expect that the corned beef fans are oap's as younger folk like my sons reckon it is dog food. When meat was rationed after the war, I developed a taste for corned beef and rabbit as they were not rationed. I still love 'panackelty'.

Cut a tin of Corn Beef into chunks and put into a glass bowl then put into Microwave on full for about a minute....get a tin of chopped tomatoes and add the chunky bits to the Corn Beef and a bit of the juice. Add black pepper and mash together and mix. Put into fridge to set.
Thank me later.
