“I have spent the best part of 14 months talking to the community and business in the town and looking how we can help to solve problems in Hartlepool. We can’t solve them all ourselves, but we can be at the centre of it and live up to our responsibility in the town.

I love the idea that the club are talking about helping the town as well as trying to gain some income.

And a dig at the echo arena for good measure.

Delighted that plans don’t involve relocation to some identikit breeze block affair in a retail park. It’s also good to see some talk that is long term.

You would have thought this is all very pie in the sky without extra investment though so the planned December announcement is interesting.

In the 14 months he has spent talking to the community, you think at least 1 person would have mentioned how to turn a fridge on

I await the announcement and add my satisfaction that we plan to stay where we are ( ground that is, not league position).

thing is how many times have stuff like this been rolled out at football clubs across the land. some fans will lap it up i suppose and then there are cynics like myself who only believe stuff when it really happens.

That's a fair point, Mr Accrington. But sometimes scraps of hope are all we've got to cling on to. I've been clinging on for 67 years.
I blame me Dad.

Sounds good - but given the shit we've had in the past, I'll believe it when I see it.

If you get to the ground earlier, you will see the pack horse unloading the bags of chilled drink, coffee flasks, bags of ket for the boy and hot box for my croque monsieur.
