I certainly do not like the little bit of white round the v neck!!!!!!!

Mmmmmm. Going to reserve my opinion to see if I get used to it.

Its a lot better than that pathetic black one we've been using. However I don't know why black has to be incorpirated into Pools strips at all - black just isn't a Pools colour. I'd sooner it was yellow and red Galitasaray style but its not bad i suppose....

Jonny, Black and Red stripes was our Away kit from 1968 till about 1977, in fact for all of my childhood we wore Black and Red stripes Away from home..it's YELLOW that isn't a "Pools Colour" if anything!

Mr Costello - How do you expect me to remember strips in 1968-77? i can barely remember them from 1989 when I started going. Do you not think that black is a minging colour to have in a strip?

Maybe its just because I associate black with the mags or the quakers. Plus black really doesn't go with your jeans.......

first the sweeney stuff and now the stuff about black not going with jeans ??????????????????????????

black goes with just about anything. its yellow that doesnt.

as for yellow and red together ???? it might look good at the acid house raves you is clearly going to but you wont see it anywhere else.

pools away kit has traditionally had black and/or red in it.

hey howay man he's entitled to his opinion rolfl rolfl

The jeans comment wasn't meant to be serious - as for yellow and red I quite like Watfords strip - it is funky.

The away kits that I can remember have been yellow, orangy yellow, navy blue, green, red and blue splatter, grey or plain red. I can't remember Pools having black in the kit until recently and I've been going for about 18 seasons.......

no no - I enjoy the occasional cigar on special occasions but the government seems to want to tale that 3 or 4 times a year ritual away from me or make me do it in the street.

And I certainly don't go on nights out or stay on for that matter with Charlie.

funky. theres a word you dont see much on the message boards.

the grey strip had a very thin and cunningly disguised black stripe. ive still got that one.

i like black a lot jonny. an awful lot. im not a happy funny fella. mr elves will confirm this. unlike him i liked joy division.

you have opinions young man. thats commendable.

i was right about the drugs though wasnt i ?

Probably, the word 'funky' comes from the French 'funqui' meaning smoky. Derived from the Parisian jazz clubs of the 1920's.

Hence Pop Will Eat Itself's assertion that 'the rythym it smokes more than a beagle'
