I was more thinking of players able to swing in a beauty of a corner or free kick etc in a good area rather than shooting from them.

I should have been more specific.

Best corner taker? For us of more mature years, Jimmy Shoulder in the early 70s. We seemed to score half our goals from his inswinging left footed corners from the right.

Going further back, when John McGovern was a spindly right winger, he took a good corner. I don't remember us profiting much from them tho'.

Hughie's thunderbolts, unfortunately he didn't play that many games for Pools.

Shuggie, but only from 40 yards though!! Remember that sublime one he got against Blackpool (think it was), put it right in the top corner, ref made him take it again and he did exactly the same, absolutely brilliant, and the one against Luton, I'm sure the keeper deliberately dodged it, would probably have killed him.
