The FA and National League are investigating the incident on Saturday but surely they can not come down too hard on Pools after the shambolic way they handled things when Raheem Stirling was abused at the Chelsea game. The person concerned has been arrested so it is now after further investigation a matter for the courts to decide. As well after those proceedings I would think a life time ban from all football grounds will follow. The worrying thing is the ages of the person involved and also the person who confronted the referee being 43 and 60 what chance do their offspring have.

What was shambolic about the handling of that case?

What are you proposing a massive fine for the club? Playing games behind closed doors? Points deductions? Some of the cases in Europe warrant that when half the stadium are at it but you can’t punish the club or the rest of the fans for one or two arseholes. That’s not right, the individuals should face the consequences.

He was banned for life by Chelsea, Pools have already shown they are taking this with the utmost seriousness and are being proactive certainly not trying to brush the incident under the carpet. Time to start moving forward and not let one or two imbeciles define us.
