Two good victories followed by a match against a team in a relegation spot is a classical scenario for Pools to disappoint. My heart says a 2-1 win should be on the cards but my wallet says have a few bob on Barrow.

2-3 to Pools, Toure master class includes two goals and a lovely pass for the third.

No pleasure in it though. Tepid water and an under-staffed club shop from the Cumbrians create tension among the travelling hordes. 276 thirsty and disgusted Poolies are arrested after rioting breaks out at refreshment kiosk following the sale of a can of warm Fanta. Only three not to be knicked are busy writing a letter of complaint about the lack of artisan-made scented soaps in the toilets.

Barrow are a good side and Rooney hit two crackers from outside the box which Killip made excellent saves from. Cunningham was outstanding as was Kioso, very solid at the back and hitting them on the break was obviously the plan and worked for the goal which Donaldson took well. Kabamba missed an easy one as well. Shit weather but a great result. UTP!!!!!

Sounded like a top class away performance. Didn't dominate but defended well and took one of the chances created on the break. Can't grumble about that.

He slept most of the way there and back, just managed to keep his peepers open for the game, Mr Snoozy

Especially when you compare it to the last time we went to Barrow in the midweek. Only 58 that time I think? Onwards and upwards!

Six of the next ten league matches are at home and the four away look like yielding points. Big chance to make a massive impact on this league.

Great game up next as well against the team who are joint top on TV we should be well up for that.

It looks wide open this year, you can’t really see either of the top two lasting the pace and many of the fancied teams are faltering badly. The annoying thing is the points we have thrown away already, Fylde was daylight robbery, we were really sloppy not to take anything from Bromley and the 0-0 at Chorley doesn’t look like a great result right now. Plenty to be posting about though.

Yep, tough first half against the wind and we made it harder by defending too deep, midfield getting bypassed and all 3 centre halfs in a line going back with 1 Barrow forward running at them, 1 should go forward to attack him and not let them shoot.
Killip very agile in beating away the shots, especially the first in top corner which the lad hit well, we played as a team though with Raynes bellowing instructions and keeping them straight, got a bit overrun at times and Raynes shouted to Higgy to change things a bit, good call.
With the wind second half Toure and Donaldson came into it more, still struggled in the middle a bit and need some pace, had a few chances before the goal but well taken and then the clever fake injuries to slow the game, game management was decent to see out the game.
Raj`s roller was spotless inside and out, toilets only held 4 at a time, rained pretty much all game and I wonder if Waterboy is still around!

good 3 points and no tesco lorry going home. even the weather didn,t damper me as i prefer that to sweating my nuts off at chorley.
