First one was poor, especially from Killip, he had more than enough time to react and palm that elsewhere.

2nd one, i dont blame him too much for the parry, the guy who scored is stood directly in front of him when the header comes in so he was probably blind.

Some nice attacking moves from us tho, shame no end product as usual though which is all that matters.

Would like to see a front 3 of Molyneux,Toure,Donaldson with Holohan or Williams playing just behind to link play up.
Would agree on Killip needs to get his act together.

They are.

The first one is ridiculous. With a slowcoach midfield of Mafuta-Kennedy-Noble-Featherstone, Pools were always going to be vulnerable to a quick counter-attack and there's four Halifax men on the break, only Raynes and Romoney in position, Mafuta jogging back and Kerr and Kioso just getting into shot as the ball hits the back of the net!

Pools' lack of defensive organisation is a real worry. Sutton were very solid at the back on Saturday and from what you can see on the highlights so were Halifax. Pools are all over the place in comparison. Do we have a proper defensive coach?

Halifax had a very simple game plan, don't concede and target our lack of pace at the back. Without doubt we are most vulnerable when we're attacking.

Obviously Killip should do better for the first but that's from our attacking free kick, they go from one box to scoring at the other end without anyone putting a challenge in. It was the same as Suttons third, they all stand in a line waiting for the punt and no one hangs back for the second ball so they're straight at us.

We had some chances, didn't shoot enough and generally struggled to break them down but we should never have lost. Defend properly and we come away with a point.

We look good on the ball, to me the left back looks like he will be an important player for us this season. Looks like he can put in a decent cross, just needs to play more with Kabamba to anticipate his movement better.

There's clearly a lot more to come from Pools but the first win needs to come quick.

From the highlights it looks as if Kerr just got back onto the pitch, after a head injury, as they broke forward to make it 1-0, so why wasn't there cover for him? Poor on-field organisation whilst the bench patched him up ?
