They've given us Harrogate away and home Boxing day and New years day, with Barrow home in between on the 28th.
That's decent of them.

Why do we always get an away game on Boxing, 3 out of 3 can’t be fair surely?

Those first 4 home games are against teams you'd expect to be up there or thereabouts. Interesting start!

I would like to go to local (ish) away games on a Saturday but 4 of them are on a Tuesday night that does not suit me (Halifax,Barrow,Stockport and Chesterfield).
It may suit others but not me.

So i will target Chorley and Notts County.

:-D I am very happy with the fixtures for this season. Start and end season at home great.
Torquay away, not in the middle of winter Bonus, three home games in last month (weather and fixtures permitting.
I also only miss one home game, due to hols.

Why is there a two week break in mid-October? Planning to visit my Dad then and I was banking on at least one match. Good to see that the promotion clinching away match is at Bromley though - will be able to attend using cheap flights.

Think that's when the FA Cup qualifying round is. So may still be a home game yet.

do not get these mid week games. will knock quite a few off the gates of the above clubs by not playing these games on a saturday as some just cannot make it mid week even if they want to. more sence playing the southern ones mid week as it wont make much difference to them as only the really committed or those with larger wallets and time can do say eastleigh on a saturday anyway. sorry if i,m ignoring southern exiles.

Ref the midweek games, one other consideration would be the availability of players/ teams that are part time. A long journey on a Tuesday means a whole day off rather than an afternoon/ couple of hours. I think that is part of the equation when it comes to some of the 'odd' schedules. I've already got clashes that mean I'll miss Aldershot away (20 minutes by train) and Eastleigh (45 mins), both on a Saturday. I'd be able to do the evening matches but there is an impact on the other fixtures that can't be full time.

Yes it’s hard for away games this season ,mostly down south, but at any away game there has to be some pools fans in attendance to show we care and want to be out of this league, I don’t know which player last season thought we were “not very supportive” but did he look around at away games and realise poolies were there spending their hard earned cash watching the horrible performances of the players, e.g. barrow

It would be interesting to know from the league why these fixtures are as they are.
Or is it just as they are drawn with a few tweeks?

The arrival of BT was supposed to add some competition into the market but in reality its just added £18 (ish) to keen sports fans monthly costs or else you miss out on riveting spectacles such as the National League.
It makes me sick to say this but the Sky monopoly was better although acknowledging that costs may have spiralled too.
I have a "now box" and sometimes buy the Sky Sports gift cards of £10 a week or £25 a month (without contract) and pick and choose the times i want to view sport.
