What a performance from BBC radio cleveland yesterday.

They seemed more interested in us playing Leeds than us being promoted.
Their announcer got his street names wrong (Catcote LANE)
& last but not least, the girl giving out window stickers had mixed them up & handed me a sticker saying 'We love Darlo' !!!!!!!!!

welcome to the board radio cleveland, you are crap & we dont want or need you anywhere near Hartlepool United.

That's a bit harsh I reckon, as I drove down to the town centre I listened to Ritchie Humpreys, Richie Barker, Andy Monkhouse and Danny Wilson all interviewed live on the bus, they may cover Boro more but some coverage is better than no coverage. Also we were lucky enough to be there, what if you lived miles away? The coverage was going out over the internet, a great service for exiles who couldn't be in the town.

Plus, it would have been a hell of lot quieter/duller had we been waiting for the bus in silence. Just because he gets a road name wrong and some woman gives out the wrong sticker doesn't mean they are useless.

I dare say without them the parade would have been a lot more amature.

I dont think it is harsh at all,I think those cock ups yesterday just went to prove that they really couldnt care less about Hartlepool (or Darlo).
They have shown it all season & by allowing that girl to end up with Darlo stickers was utterly careless,I bet it wouldnt have happened if it was in Boro.

Not harsh at all, If the Middlesbrough reserve players had been having a tiddlywinks competition then Radio Cleveland would have preferred to cover than.

Bit unfair

If you don't live in Hartlepool, it would be easy to make a couple of mistakes over street names on a 15 mile route around the town

As for the comments about Leeds, it's one of the games next season I'M particularly looking forward to, as I believe are many others, I suspect they were playing on that to get the crowd "going" for when the bus arrived

I moan about Radio Cleveland a lot, but credit where it's due, I thought they did a good job yesterday

If they couldn't care less what were they doing there? As I said it would have been a dull affair without them.

They weren't there because 'they care' they were there because there was nothing else on and they have a charter to cover the whole catchment area. Do you think they would have been there if Middlesbrough had been playing?

I wasn't listening, I was as pissed as a cricket.

Did they do some 'replays' from the stunning 1-0 away win?? They used to do that on a Saturday when I was waiting for Pools interview on a Saturday on the way home?? It was just a man shouting.

I never said they were there because they care.

Boro have more fans than us, they are bound to get more coverage.

What I'm saying is their involvement should be applauded, I think they added to the occasion.

clappp
