This week John talks about numerous football clubs including Darlington Spartans FC, looks at basket cases such as Bury and Bolton Wanderers, and returns to his ‘fondness’ for Notts County. He also manages to give us an insight into the development of breakdancing as an Olympic sport, tracing its roots back to the car park of The Greensides and the pavement outside of what was The Devon. He also tells us about when he met Bolton manager Phil Parkinson in the gentlemen’s toilets at a hotel in Bradford – and he needs to provide far more explanation – and hopefully will, next week.

Rual Fox in Ayia Napa..............pissing in the same pot so to speak!
Met and went out with the whole Newcastle team (Peacock Beresford etc) at the time except Beardsley. Spoke to Fazackerley most of the time about everything except football but mainly rugby. I think he was so delighted that he didn't have to talk about footie he invited me out with them all.

Had a piss with Philip Schofield last Friday - in a pub near the Albert Hall (went to see the Buzzcocks and Skids) - he looks so much older in real life and was with a young girl who can't have been interested in his todger, if you know what I mean.....

Resisted the temptation to ask 'How's it hanging Jarvis?'

I offer two worrying examples.

Boy George in the Camden palace 1982 and yes I was very careful.

A few years ago I stood between John Redwood and Jeffrey Archer at the do post Maggie funeral.

Be more worried about those two than Boy George.

Terry Venables in the lavs at Crathorne Hall when he was helping out at Boro years ago. As always with celebrities he seemed very small and very orange. He gave my a pleasant smile and a cheery "awright"...which was nice.
