Arrived back from holiday to find out an old friend and top Pools supporter Mick Kelly had passed away last week.

Anyone who knew Mick, would agree he was a lovely lad and one of the stand out characters on the Victoria Ground terraces of the last 40 + years.

For all those wanting to attend Mick Kelly’s funeral, the details are as follows

Tuesday 2nd July, 10.30 at St Oswald's Church then onto Stranton Cemetery.

Followed by the celebration of his life at the Rovers (Easington Road) all are welcome to attend and please feel free to wear your pools shirt or something blue for Pools.

Thank you

Living away from Peterlee/Horden Colliery Riviera and Blackhall Colliery Riviera for some time I don't know your mate Horden but always sad to hear of a Poolie (player or supporter) who has passed on. Very sorry for you and another blue and white spirit on the terraces at The Vic willing the ball over the line for a Pools goal. RIP Mick.
