Did anyone watch Farridge on sundays Andrew Marr show? What an arrogant lying oily bastard this bloke is. How he can drum up so much support is beyond me.

Surely Corbyn's £10 a hour minimum wage for even 16/17 years old wins this week prize ? No wonder Diane Abbott has turned to boozing on the trains..

I think people as thick as the bloke who posted the first reply (that again was only loosely connected to the opening post) in this thread help to be honest. Gullible souls who are very easily manipulated by chancers like Farage and other shady characters from the far right saying the right things and pressing the right triggers. It’s like shining a laser pen on the floor near a cat. It’s almost like we’re in a parallel universe we’re everyone has forgotten all of the mans bullshit that drummed up votes in the first place.

Whether the country will be better off in or out of the EU is almost another issue now what it’s started in Britain adding to what is going on in America is not good at all, surely we should be evolving not becoming more backward, ignorant and insular? Worrying times ahead.

More likely you've backfired on your thundercrackers again.

I'll explain this carefully - bigots shouting among themselves on Twitter and Facebook isn't a reliable sample of public opinion.

Thought this thread was going to be about the first track on Three Chords Good by Graham Parker - wish it had been as I'm tired of everyone giving Farage the oxygen that he craves.

The rise of the populist right by one of the main protagonists; committed to privatising our NHS, tear up employment rights and he claims to be a man of the people!

He's got a one issue agenda - when has he talked about the NHS or employment rights?

In the past, was author of booklet which outlined privatising NHS but much recently stated he that to ease the strained service he would put contracts out to private sector.
Also has made various proposals about weakening employment rights for British employees. As Ray 52 says a snake oil salesman.

I'm not sure what "taking on the EU means", but whatever it is, I doubt testicle size comes into the reckoning.

Farage: Hey, European Union, I'VE GOT BIG BALLS.
EU: So you have. Now, we have just enough time for one last dolt-representing blockhead. Who's next?

I’ve joined and donated. Nigel is the one politician who speaks honestly about Europe and he has a genuine shot at breaking the current two party system.

I’m not going to bother arguing with the above lefties in their echo chamber. They just need to get used to the fact that Nige is an awful lot more palatable to the man in the street than the very dangerous Corbyn, McDonnell and Abbot option from hell. No amount of posturing and basking in your own smug world will change that.

Oh and dangerous?

The current Labour Party and leadership aren’t fit for purpose but that’s merely a deflection of why the country is in the state it is; The Tories. Surely the most out of touch, criminally negligent, vile version of The Tories we have ever seen?

Forget Brexit for second (which again is all at the Tories door) but if we are talking dangerous I would call people living in abject poverty, relying on food banks, knife crime epidemics, a lack of crucial life saving services, lack of hospital beds, lack of A&E and lack of police all fairly dangerous things effecting your average man on the street right now. I’m not sure how a blaggard and a conman is sorting all of that out.

It’s hard to fathom how so many people who have a lot of issues to worry about seem fixated on one policy that will help them not one jot in their daily lives. Average people really are gullible to the point of stupidity.

When asked about his actual plan and strategy for brexit Farages head just starts to spin like the character from the exorcist. That despite being the only thing he is on this earth for. It would be comedy gold though for a short while if he did get into power. That’s if he didn’t disappear first.

There are lots of ways to be bigotted and if you browse through most vociferous no deal fanatics posts you can find them all. I didn't mention racism thoiugh because plenty of Brexit supporters, including my Dad, aren't racists.

My point is that the backfiring you claim to have happened is just some people who already supported Brexit shouting on social media. Same happens when Remainers get a head of steam going. None of it is a reliable indicator of public opinion.

I don't support Farage and probably never will.
He is short term and will disappear, as he usually does when the dust settles ( or the shit storm he's hell bent on creating).
The biggest problem facing this country is staring everyone in the face and that problem will most definitely be first or second in the next general election.

Channel 4 expose` on honest Nige (man of the people) asking why Aaron Banks funds his millionaire lifestyle; luxury housing in Chelsea, flash motor, personal bodyguards/ chauffeur, funding flights to America, throwing lavish parties in the States which are attended by the rich and powerful political elite etc etc. Honest Nige (man of the people) wasn't comfortable when challenged by news reporter.

Loads of labeling of people has gone on both sides I have been guilty myself calling gullible imbeciles like Sussex Gammons but in the case of Farage it’s just calling out an absolute conman.

I loved this story from a few months ago when ‘anti elitist’ Nigel was squirming about traveling by private jet;

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.indy10 ... 1276%3famp

He continues to spout the outright lie every day about him ‘retiring for two years from politics’ to fit the agenda that he has been forced to return. That is utter bollocks as a) he’s never wormed his way into frontline politics he’s stood for a lost in 7 general elections and b) he’s continued in his role and creaming his salary for being a MEP throughout the two years he’s apparently been retired.

Him being ridiculously touted as a solution only highlights the toxic mess that is Great Britain right now.

I reckon a lot of you are going to be suicidal in a year or two.

There has been a seismic shift in politics and has destroyed the Conservatives chances of an outright election win next time around. Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party will win a massive amount of seats in the Euro elections and will develop into a real electoral threat at the next General election.

Given that Corbyn is largely unelectable in the country as a whole and the negotiations with Theresa May have damaged him further, the only chance Labour have is a Tom Watson led campaign if Corbyn can be overthrown. That’s difficult to see with such a hard left membership.

My prediction is a coalition government led by Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage. Scoff if you will but I’ll bookmark this for future gloating.

Exactly. Two of the worst human beings imaginable. Self serving, odious chancers.

I’m not so sure Farage will be to able this keep this charade up until a General Election and if he did why anyone would vote for a party focused on one issue with no manifesto and no plan to take the country forward (certainly one to take it backwards and destroy it) Again yesterday he was talking absolute bollocks, outright horse shit and when it’s challenged he has no answers. He said that the Brexit Party winning the European Elections would put no deal Brexit back on the table. How exactly? What influence does an MEP have in our parliament? He’ll be shown up for exactly what he is in time. People hailing him as some sort of man of the people are embarrassing themselves.

That’s the weakest argument against Nigel Farage I’ve heard in a long time.

You make a statement that he was challenged and couldn’t answer and was talking ‘horseshit’. Where is the full source and context or are you just making it up as you go along because he doesn’t fit into your ideal big hugs world?

You seriously can’t see how Labour and the Tories being trounced by the Brexit Party at the European elections both in terms of seats and votes doesn’t give NIgel Farage influence? You can’t see that apart from seats it gives the main two (as was) genuine worries about the future General election and will have the sitting MPs seriously worried about what it means for their seat on the gravy train. It will prove that the nonsense that remain politicians love to spout about leavers changing their mind is bollocks. (C) liberal party.

You can’t see how a single issue party with a sizeable number of MEPs cannot put together a credible manifesto on the full range of issues?

As for being seen through, well after 20 odd years in politics it’s a long time coming.

How does a dyed in the wool Tory get along with the morally and politically bankrupt Johnson being leader?

Nothing he stands for fits in with the any Tory values I can think of
in his personal life and politically he's a failure

40 million on the garden bridge spunked away, risking the life of a U.K. Citizen held captive by an hostile Islamic state, he said 'fuck business' in a recent EU meeting

And as for farage , attending pro nazi meetings and taking the Russian money seems to be fine, as long as you're posh and wear a pin stripped suit

It makes me, an avowed socialist, long for the days of a one nation Tory party

Milk shake should have been frozen. It looks like on social media, that is getting him a few more votes. These new Brexit party voters should ask the people working in the or associated with the steel industry this morning, 20,000 jobs if they still want out of the EU with no deal

Throwing milkshakes at people is fairly pathetic to be honest and achieving nothing, if anything it helps someone like Farage and deflects awkward questions. It needs to stop. Keep throwing stuff at Yaxley-Lennon though.

The whole thing is a mess at the end of the day. I can understand the anger of people who voted Leave but is no deal really the way forward? I have seen nothing other than fanciful speculation actually positive about the prospect. This Leave at any cost mentality is quite frankly mental. I heard a clip of a Brexit Party candidate Lucy Harris on the radio other day spouting this unbelievable stuff saying we might not see any benefit and we could be directly impacted financially for 30 years!!!? What the actual fuck are you on about, who would be Hell bent on forcing something that they are admitting will damage our economy for at least 30 years? Do people seriously feel that strongly about the EU that they are happy to be worse off for a generation?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.indy10 ... 9786%3famp

I don’t agree in a second referendum and I do believe in democracy but everything needs to be focused on getting the best deal. Leave at any cost is unhinged. Some of the stuff said has been comical, Anne Widdecome reckons no deal wouldn’t be as bad as the Second World War!!? Oh that’s alright then as long as it’s not as bad as the single most catastrophic event in the history of the human race. Bring it on stpid stpid

Good post from Snowy.

Who's the twat responsible for putting the pension age up to 67/68 and now you need 35 full qualifying years of NI contributions to get a full state pension.
Gunna be a lot of skint old people.

You all need to check with the GOV.UK that you have the qualifying years in to get the full state pension which is 35 years. Dont make assumptions check it with them.
I after working 44 years found i only had 34 years contributions as i was contracted out (of the full stamp as it was known) for 10 years with a company i worked for.
As i have not yet reached state retirement age (me 66) and have no chuffing intention of doing another stroke i have bought voluntary contributions (class 3) for the missing year which cost £750 approx. You will get this £750 back after 3 years so its worth paying unless you are planning to die.

Good post from Snowy.

Who's the twat responsible for putting the pension age up to 67/68 and now you need 35 full qualifying years of NI contributions to get a full state pension.
Gunna be a lot of skint old people.
The country's more bothered about looking after the forieghners than the English.

Sir Tommy Robinson for PM. He sort this mess out.
Up The Pools.

What the fuck as that got to do with foreigners

You'll be in for a shock when we leave the EU and the NHS is still getting fucked over by the Tories and there no Poles, slovaks and brown skins to blame

You aren't getting the care needed from the NHS because of ten years of constant cutbacks

You'll never get turned away from a hospital because of immigrants, nor will your kids be denied a good education because of immigrants, you, will be denied these think so because of fuckers who want to run these things Dow. to make a profit

And as for Tommy, what a man, turning a blind eye to kiddie fiddlers

Keep doffing you cap and tugging the forelock, we need the country to be like it was a hundred years ago, i.e. fucking shit

Sitting in the front garden on your piss soaked sofa in a string vest drinking Special Brew shouting at passing foreigners is not a ‘Party’ in your house, it is just Sunday.

You didn't see the rise of Farage and Robinson coming , and your predictions and optimism for Pools over the past years have been way off the mark..

I think most people have seen the rise of the far right coming in recent years, especially since 2016 and Brexit which appeared to be the catalyst. The whole leave campaign bizarrely focused a lot on immigration because that appealed to loads of ignorant people who wouldn’t normally vote.

Anyone who ‘supports’ Yaxley-Lennon either an impressionable kid who thinks he’s hard or an out and out moron. Massively gullible as well the way this fervor and hatred is built up using social media to spread largely fake stories. Groups like Britain First have always used things like Facebook to this but it seems to rearing it’s head in the mainstream. We live in depressing times. Not Yaxley-Lennon but did anyone see that completely fabricated picture of the ‘war veteran’ member of the Brexit Party who had ‘Milkshake’ thrown over him outside of a polling station last week? No footage of the attack, no witnesses yet Farage has it on Twitter in minutes!! It’s sad what’s happening to our country, surely the World is meant to evolve not get in a time machine of go backwards. I shudder to think how the rest of the World are viewing us right now.
