Shocking news.......not sure how i would react if we were put in that situation a journey of 20 ish miles to a foreign ground would not appeal to me.
We are lucky to have a ground in the centre of town which i think helps with the supporters attachment to the club.

The current owners sold it to London Wasps Rugby club so they only rent the ground off them, the lease is up and can’t agree a new one.

PJ is right but...................

The football club apparently reported the new owner (who I think is the owner of Wasps) to the European Courts over an allegation that the sale of the ground involved the incorrect use of public monies - and that was hardly going to assist the football club in their negotiations for a new lease!

Well I’d lose the word ‘London’ for a start if you plan to set up in Coventry.

When they built that new ground their chairman was quoted as saying they now needed to get it right on the pitch and they didn't want to be playing teams like Hartlepool at their new stadium.

I think they beleive Pools are getting promoted this season, and just to be sure they don't upset their former chairman, have decided to up sticks and move to Birmingham.

I remember how Pools was always dragged out as the embarrassing benchmark for wannabe clubs to compare themselves to. There were lots of shitter clubs around but apparently we were usually the favoured victims.
Fuck em.

Good quote Snowy. It would be great to see "Never say die" replaced with "Fuck em" on the back of the shirts.Or both?

When I was Monkey Bizz editor and we played at Leicester, BBC east midlands interviewed me about how Leicester were playing 'the likes of Hartlepool'. Completely patronising twats. Plus they cut the footage to make me look stupid.

Shame really, as all the Leicester fans I met were quite accepting of their league position, unlike Leeds, Forest and the Sheffield teams.

I’m warming to the idea. You can imagine some BBC type staggering back to to that London after the Palace match gasping....” the defeat was bad enough, but some chaps from the Hartlepool’s told me to fuck right off”.
Another good line to replace never say die. Imagine the scenario where the opposition players or fans need winding up, simply turn around, pull the back of your shirt up and there’s ‘YOU CAN FUCK RIGHT OFF!! staring them in the face..... obviously not on the kids shirt.

"Hadaway an' shite" would be my prefered motif embroidered on to the back of the shirt.

I am trying to think of the motif on the kids shirts and can only come up with "Go forth and multiply"
