Just when you thought it couldn't get worse.
If British politics weren't bad enough, we are now going to have to put up with a backstabbing contest.

And anyone who considers voting for Bojo needs committing.

We're doomed Captain Mainwaring, doomed I tell you.

The betting list for next Prime Minister is like an apparition in a nightmare.

It'll be BoJo, unless there's a concerted effort to avoid his name going to the final two. If it does, the decaying rump that is the local Conservative Associations will vote for him in a heartbeat (assuming they still have any). Then watch him run the clock down, demand another extension, and then act surprised when the EU tell him to get lost and we crash out with no deal - and of course it will all be portrayed by him as their fault, not his.

He's not the world's greatest intellect (The Garden Bridge? The Thames Estuary Airport, despite a sunken ship full of explosives in the middle of it?) but neither is he simply a buffoon. He's far more dangerous than that....

Don't forget the water cannon.

Or how knived Cameron - and then how he didn't see Gove sharpening his knife.

His latest great plan is of course another bridge - this time between Scotland and Northern Ireland. The fact that is has to pass straight over Beaufort's Dyke, where over a million tonnes of munitiions was dumped just after WW2, and would additionally require higher pillars than any yet constructed for this sort of bridge is par for the course.... it would make Arlene Foster happy (or at least, she's not going to say no to it) but would make the sweetner May gave her look like loose change...

Would it be worst than being appointed to the Scotland Football Managers job?

Comedy, comedy...just comedy (you really couldn't write it). Unfortunately it's real and I am really worried by it all.

Can always rely on British politics to make the current US president seem normal.

Third world country's governments get bad press but they're more stable than the UK, they're just not as good at hiding their corruption.

Boris wants hanging, as does anyone who thinks he has the country's interests at heart. He's been scheming for years for this job.

The most comical part of all of this is that I have just heard Boris Johnson described on BBC News at Ten as the front runner as he’s ‘the figurehead of the Leave campaign.’ Yes he was.

But it has been widely reported that he picked his side very late on the basis of where it put him in terms of becoming leader at the outcome. All about him, which way the wind was blowing. Plus what he wanted most was a narrow remain victory and that his initial reaction when it wasn’t was hardly one of celebration when it went the other way, more like ‘oh fuck’.

In a fair World this repugnant arsehole would have been made Prime Minister the day May was and I am fairly sure we’d be no further forward now in terms of leaving the EU. He wanted to be in this position in 2016, all of this mess is down to people like him.

Can one of the mods change the board colour to red and put a hammer and sickle on the banner please so we all know what we’re logging on to.

Thanks.

Tempted Ripper sometimes I really am. The amazing thing is that most of the above are sucking each other’s dicks over how terrible Boris is but are happy to vote in a mad commie IRA supporter.

I think Boris will win but my vote will go to Esther McVey. There’s a lot to like in her honest straightforward statements. She reminds me of many ways of another former female leader who didn’t come from the posh schools and fought against the establishment to gain power.

Not really seen a mention of Corbyn or Labour. For what it’s worth I certainly wouldn’t vote Labour at the minute, if they want to stand any chance at the inevitable upcoming General Election they need a new leader and change of direction.

Calling people lefties/commies and other childish stuff is just deflecting away from how much of disaster this government is and now how much of disaster Brexit is because you can’t actually challenge anything that is being said.

In fairness to Labour, Liberals, Greens, SNP, Plaid Cymru, DUP, Sinn Fein and the rest of the parties in the UK they all seem to have policies and manifestos and you can agree or disagree with them.
I struggle to see what the Conservative party stands for except for hanging onto power whilst they rip themselves apart or morphing themselves into "Independents" because the Conservative Brand is now so toxic.
Crack on i say!

Wait a minute, thinking Boris Johnson is a disaster waiting to happen is the same as thinking Corbyn is the best thing since sliced bread?
Yeah, sure, it's obvious to everybody it's a straight black or white choice, with nothing in the middle.

Are you really expecting people to take that argument seriously or have you spent so much time listening to politicians that you are now as duplicitous as they are?

I’m not really sure what these European election results tell us to be honest apart from we need a general election before October 31st, when the ruling party get a staggering 9% share of the vote you’d suggest the country no longer has faith in them. You wonder where they go from here? Brexit has destroyed the Tory party, justice really.

As for EU farce the outright remain parties got slightly more votes than the Brexit Party so as suggested before it’s not exactly put no deal back on the table. In the current climate the Brexit Party were always going to get the most votes with remainers not having a single party to get behind. But I have just read that in 2014 UKIP and the Tories won 43 MEP seats, now Brexit, UKIP and the Tories have 33 so more pro EU politicians now have seats. Both sides spin it the way they wish but it’s nowhere near as clear cut as the likes of Farage are making out.

Labour need a change of leadership now and a clear view on Brexit, do they have the nerve to become the remain party or promise a second referendum? The amount of votes the likes of the Lib Dems and Greens have just got are an indication that could be a route back into power.

One positive is UKIP are finished. Who’d have thought the recruitment of a load of racist thugs wouldn’t work!

much as anyone dislikes corbyn or johnson the thing is if they came to power and formed a government they,d be totally different to what they are at the moment. they always change when in power as the labour become less left wing and the tories less right wing. this is usually what upsets their big supporters as they don,t do what they said they,d do.

Bring on a General Election so they can all have the mid-career crisis they deserve. Unless the Lib Dems are daft enough to do a deal with them.

To be completely fair Clare Fox was a member of the RCP. They changed into Living Marxism, then LM and then eventually Spiked Online. They specialise in giving media appearances where they are introduced as being left wing and then spout right wing libertarian views. They used to love the IRA but I think it is publicity and cash now.

Here’s Boris Johnson everyone, a man of integrity steadfast in his political views and no way would put himself before what’s actually best the country and its people. As if he would completely change side on the basis of which way the wind was blowing and how it could increase his chances of becoming leader;

How can anyone take BoJo n Trump serious when both their wigs are shocking.
At least, Hangus n Tommy R. have pride in their appearance.
Xcelent weather lately for the hallowed Vic turf.
