Happy days!

Surprised he happy to move up here so soon, would have thought he would have waited to see if any moves materialise further down south before signing for us.

No doubt Hignett will have played a big part in it.

I hope the budget can afford to buy him some longer socks, so that he looks like a footballer.

Very pleased to see him signed as was seen when he played against Pools is a difficult player to mark and very fast for such a tall man.Just hope he can continue with a similar goals to games ratio. He seems to have agood understanding already going with Luke James. Have seen him in away games and is prepared to get stuck in when the going gets tough!!

We'll need goals from midfield too though. It would be great to get another season out of Josh Hawkes.

Good signing, a massive improvement on that forgettable striker we had whose name I've forgotten & who slagged the club off when he left.

Let's see what he can do for a full season. Trains back down South run well on Saturday evenings and there are a lot of southern away games.. so he can get back for family time like many other absent workers.

Good first signing, it's often forgotten the pull a full time contract can have for clubs at our level. From what I saw of Kabamba he can find the net with more regularity than the players we have already have, the negative being his frame is pretty lean going up against some of the brick outhouses and cloggers in the National League. Hignett has obviously seen enough in him to sign him permanently & Kabamba is willing to move hundreds of miles north to come to Hartlepool .In the past previous management has complained players won't come to Hartlepool !

After their playoff defeat yesterday I would have a look at Robbie Ramshaw of Spennymoor, attacking midfielder, 24 years old formally of Gateshead and was selected recently as an England C international. Over the past couple of seasons I have kept an eye on him and been impressed by his attitude and playing style a proper tenacious terrior of a player. When we have been after a defender to lead the line I have been quietly impressed by James Curtis also of Spennymoor, the guy is 37 and is as solid as a rock, MOM in the last 4 games or something like that.

Trouble is a lot of players in the National League North or South or similar levels are likely on more money with jobs outside of football and part time football money.

I'm worried about this signing, I mean, how thorough has the medical been, what if he becomes a sicknote overnight?

I'll get writing, 5 things I don't know about Nicke Kabambas medical report

Hopefully he comes with a guarantee. Most clubs make sure they get a cast iron guarantee covering lack of form or injuries before they sign a player and it is high time Pools did the same.

Do they not use paper guarantees? In fact you would expect an electronic one these days.

Hope we've done the "will he get injured in training in the future by one of our own players" test.

Daft if we haven't, should sack 8 coaches, bring back buster and employ Sweeney.
