As I am watching them play Spurs off the park (long way to go obviously) it’s reminded me of a sobering thought I heard on the radio the other day.

Middlesbrough’s (yes the Boro) have a wage bill twice the size of Ajax!! Amazing really. As long as clubs keep employing people like Tony Pulis I will continue to stop listening to when people suggest that English coaches should be getting top jobs.

It's amazing what clubs will pay players when they are desperate for players immediately. Boro are a great example of a team who spent big on the wrong type of players under 3 different manager styles chasing the dream of premier league football, whilst forgetting to build a long term sustainable team.

Also how is that Ajax defender only 19, jesus.

They were great to watch last night, playing some fantastic football as well as the relentless pressing.

Can't see spurs getting anything at Ajax.

As soon as Boro fuck the playoffs up again, Pulis will be gone and take a nice pay off to bring to the British Managers Lunch Club to enjoy a deep fried Owl.

I think he blown it after Ian Holloway got that secret recording his phone call to Allardyce after his destroy and exit at QPR. Him and Casper will struggle to get another job and if Mr Ferrrrenanndes finds out he’s a dead man plus Casper is a dead Snake.

It was said on TalkSPORT by guest on Hawksbee and Jacobs, I’m not sure who as I was driving and not paying full attention but my ears pricked up when I heard that!

He reeled off quite a few other Championship clubs with bigger wage bills than Ajax, double does sound a little far fetched though!

Extract from an article in the Daily Telegraph.

“from www.telegraph.co.uk
9 Apr 2019 · To put things into perspective, Ajax's annual wage bill, according to their most recent set of accounts, was just £46.6million, less than Aston Villa, Cardiff, Middlesbrough and Wolves”
