Pools have lost 3 of the last 5 and Craig Hignett is desperate not to repeat the end of season slump of his last spell in charge. Pools need to be good enough to win this, no excuses about injuries.

Aldershot 0- Pools 1 (Molyneux)

A win would be most welcome and I cant help thinking we really should beat these. Hopefully Hawkes is back and we can carry on with him, James and Molyneaux behind Kabamba.

Be nice to see Bale and Holohan too.

2-0 Win.

Dalton hat trick, David Puckett for Aldershot.

They haven't won at home since November. Can't see us losing.

Aldershot 1 - Pools 5 - Happy days. That was a fabulous match and very definitely an 'I WAS THERE' game.

Today, we just about deserved the point. First ten minutes in glorious sunshine we were all over their end of the pitch but nothing of threat. Caught out again early.. it is happening far too often that the defence has a slow start. Great chant from the home fans 'We're winning at home, how shit must you be...'. We spent most of the half going sideways and back, sideways and back. Kioso was a constant pain for them though, running through on the overlap. When you see Kabamba's header miss you will also say 'How did he miss from there?'. That guys luck has really turned. Second half, someone seemed to point out that Aldershot are going down.. Kitching was constantly a threat that they needed to negate, James also. The home fans I chatted too singled them out for praise. We eventually got a cross over that Holohan got his head to for a simple goal. We nearly got a winner but to be honest, that would have been harsh because we were not that great. That's it for the Southern games this season - lost Havant, Aldershot and Maidstone from my patch. Hoping that Woking get promoted (Can't believe I had to write that but it is one I can walk to).

Same feeling as the last ten years when you can't wait for the season to finish! Another disappointing season with little to shout about. I certainly think we need a few more changes than hignett has stated, certain players need to move on!

Agree on the end of season. About the most I can hope for now is keeping Salford out of winning the league. On the player front, there are a couple in the squad that make me wonder when they will expire..

I thought Aldershot were one of the best teams that came to the Vic last season. Them getting relegated this time around is a reminder that it's twice as easy to drop out of the bottom of this league than it is to get promoted.

Pools should be finishing the season like Chesterfield are to convince anybody we've got the makings of a promotion winning squad. Hignett is going to have to be ruthless with his released list.

The players still under contract shud be the only ones who are still here next month and they can count themselves very lucky.

Mass clear out needed if the club is serious about challenging for promotion next season.

We have some decent players we just need some better ones in key areas and maybe one or two who can ‘mix it’ a bit more and do the ugly side of the game at this level when required. You can’t just get rid of everyone then expect to improve.

To bring these better players in we have to release the shit 1st.
Worked for Solihul last pre season.

Coxhall can't be blamed for next season

Time for Hufc to raise the ambition and reward its brilliant support.

agree with every word of that. problem is its all about money and i doubt anyone plays for solihull because of their outstanding ground and pitch with views of a car plant.

We owned by 2 millionaires aren't we not a skint trust.

One thing for sure the patter from the club on the season ticket renewals will be promotion form.
