Now we have got rid of another element of the Coxhall/Goldberg regime (BLK) is it time to get rid of the badge too?

Nowt wrong the with badge. It's representative of the town, not the club owners at the time it was introduced. I seem to remember all the bellyacheing about how much it was going to cost last time it was changed. Some of the laymans estimates of costs were hilarious.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind a change. As long as it was back to something simple...retro....classic. As long as it was not a return to the ships wheel. Once you strip away the nostalgia and the association to our most successful period then you realise how dated it was. The Gibson era badge was better but best consign that to history as well.

I couldnt give a shit about the badge to be honest, it just seems to be one of the few remnants left from what those 2 crooks did to our club.

Presume we will sell them turnstiles from West Ham too

Glad I'm not alone on this. The badge just looks really corporate and generic. and will only ever remind people of Coxall and co.

Yes.

From a graphic design point of view it is terrible - the lettering is too small.

If nothing else it is difficult to embroider at that scale.

Mansfield are stags. We should have something unique to the town ie a hanging monkey like Rovers have.

The Hart in Hartlepool is the stag/deer it should remain, could have a monkey on its back instead of a deer hound though.

The badge should be an embroidered arse to deter badge kissing from players who are about to leave.
