I am currently abroad, up until recently I could access the The Northern Echo online, now the only way I can access it is via a VPN ?
Anyone else have similar problems albeit there isn’t much reading in The Echo.

When you say abroad, do you mean overseas or wearing a dress?

An ad blocker sorts out all the crap on newspaper sites, as long as they haven't put a block on ad blockers!

Anyhow, Loughlin in the Echo is saying Hignett thinks he might have to get a player or two in on loan as he's down to 12 fit first teamers (not sure if he's counting Newton any more) and it will be a "young reserve side" against Shildon tomorrow night. As Pools don't have a reserve team I presume he means it will be the youth team kids plus Catterick, Hawkins and Newton.

A centre back is certainly needed with Kioso missing the next 2, would like to think there are plenty of players whose contracts are coming to an end and would relish some first team football to help them secure a contract etc

Someone like Mirfin would have been ideal - a bit surprised to see he dropped to the league below us.
