Credited with bringing through the class of 92. Shows how highly those lads regarded him when they went to visit him last year when he was ill

Didn't realised he once played for Pools. Obviously a great football man , his work at Man U testimony to that.

RIP

From a humble begining playing wise went on to massive acheivments at Manchester United and most famously the class of 92. Today in tribute they have thanked him not only for football matters but also for developing them from boys to men a wonderfull legacy for him considering what as a group they have gone on to acheive. Come on Pools Black arm bands on Saturday at Boreham then a minutes applause at next home game.

Turns out he played for Halifax, Hartlepool, Barrow and Southport - all the old Fourth Division's top sides! Obviously it's only a small step up from that to coaching future England internationals...

RIP. Amazing career.
