So what’s going on with Money then, I’ve been told he’s been giving a upstairs role and there’s someone else coming in then on the other hand I’m being told he’s still manager?? So what’s going on?

F*ck me this club need to get it right sooner or later or we are going to get worse I will continue to support this club through thick and thin but bloody hell it is really frustrating in doing so we are getting worse on and off the pitch, it’s a shambles to say the least.

What’s hard to understand? Hignett is now the manager and money is doing a similar role to a DOF.

I imagine they’ve realised they need his experience in some capacity but it wasn’t working for him as a manger. I don’t think he will be here next season though.

I dont get this pools are a shambles line they have inter changed 2 people in jobs how on earth is that a shambles.
Yes its plain to see money was not the right man for manager how ever we should be pleased that action was taken swiftly to hopefully rectify the situation.
Look at man u it took them over 2 years to admit they made a mistake it happens move on

Its just a further development of the Dutch idea of 'Total Football' where anyone in the club can fulfill anyone else's role, next week Raj Singh will be filling in as right back.

It's explained perfectly simple on the podcast. Money came as manager with a remit to be first team coach and sort the entire playing infrastructure out within the club. He quickly realised that what he had agreed to do was too much for him in the short term, cried help and Hignett helped him with the playing side. He quickly realised that Hignett was the best man for the playing side and he would do a better job for the club sorting the rest out which is more long term.
I think Money realised he couldn't do a first team manager anymore, which left him with two choices, either walk or change roles.
He was open with the other three, admitted he had made a mistake and offered to virtually change roles with Hignett.
After the four of them discussed it, they decided to give it a go. I would imagine that Singh has said we'll give the idea a chance and see where we have arrived at come the end of the season.
That's how I read it.
I think it's worth a try and as all four of them are behind the idea, they'll break sweat to make it work.
We'll soon see won't we.

Good post Derwent, it all makes total sense and there does seem a lot of logic behind it. Im glad Money was at the podcast to talk about it himself rather than Raj or Mark saying "it was Richards idea" and us having some doubt about how true that was.

I wish we could afford the luxury of considering a manager with a 60% win rate over two years a mistake.

Mr Derwent I like a reasoned post, so much better than the we’re doomed, screaming abdabs, tantrum / jibber jabber posts.

So they just swapped roles? Must explain why I seen and heard Hignett effing and blinding at the Harrogate match specially at the 4th official when there penalty was giving, While Money was just sat on the bench quite as a mouse, I think I heard money shout “Luke James here” all game.

Well money’s spell as manager didn’t last long 8 games I believe? Even if he still is at the club as a upstairs role doing whatever I can’t see him being Here next season, Money that is. Will be interesting to see what Hignett will do as manager and for fuck sake Hignett please play kioso rather than have him on the bench like Money did he’s our best defender and he’s only a kid off 18-19 that says something in itself I’m sure Money had him playing in front of our back 4 on Saturday to, Ohhh yeah and please play Muir Higgy!!

Looks like Money has a contract till the end of the season judging by the report in The Mail, Pools are reconsidering the position of DOF, says Money getting binned !
https://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/sport/ ... -1-9557965
From what has been said Hignett lost a bit of money on investments therefore needs a job, maybe he thought by being DOF he was safe from the sack that’s why he never wanted the managers job ?

If Money had any respect for Pools or himself he would just walk and save us a wage.

Perhaps they could have a bit on the podcast where they go into their own personal finances for every one to know.

And then in future open up their medical records for us.

Come on Pools where is the transparency.

Oh well ! not such a good post after all. Lets face, Hignett has been in charge all along, Hignett is running the club, with a little help from Maguire.
