Mr Money has lasted 17 more days than he did at Solihull, sounds like I told you so , but wasn't happy with his appointment at the time. Only thing I like about Money is his honesty hasn't endeared himself to us fans, but hasn't received us any bullshit, cuttingly honest.

Has he really moved upstairs or has he been politely removed where he will not be seen or heard of again? With his last 2 jobs tgats his CV knackered!

He's still at the club, lot's of presumptions are being made without any foundation here as is the way.

If the role had been created for Money then I can see the argument for saying he's been moved upstairs to steadily push him out but I don't really see it in this situation. It's clearly a position within the clubs structure the chairman feels is needed as from day one of his chairmanship it's been in place. When the rumours first started that Raj, and at the time The Trust heading by Jeff Stelling were the consortium going to buy the club with Hignett as manager most people I spoke to were happy with that as Hignett's first spell as manager was looking promising until things started unfold off the field. We played some good football and for the first time in ages we seemed to be building a team with a bit of thought behind it. It's not really his fault the people at the head of that were chancers and conmen. Most people said also that in his two games as caretaker he got more out the players than others have.

Forward to the actual takeover and Raj and we'd had the situation were Bates had steadied the ship in difficult circumstances with staff who had come and worked for the club for nothing it was fair that he was given a chance. It didn't work, the correct decision was made to move on. In came an experienced manager, with an excellent CV having worked at most levels, several different positions within clubs, worked abroad, and worked with success at the level we are at right now in recent history. Money is clearly no mug, he speaks with honesty and clarity and a lot of the time a lot of sense. To call him a dinosaur or similar is just throwaway, unfair and lazy. The results haven't improved in the short time he's been here though and the atmosphere more toxic with a section of fans not prepared to give him a chance, and as someone who's came in with fresh eyes he can see this job is huge for several different reasons. The club needs to change and improve from top to bottom. Obviously serious discussions have been going of that nature. We can't keep simply sacking managers, it doesn't work with every regular sacking over the last few years things just get progressively worse to the point we are now. This has been exasperated by the clubs financial problems last season that were caused by crooks. This time we aren't sacking the manager we are changing how we do things, surely change is what's needed?

Money isn't the type of bloke either who would be pushed upstairs into a job that wasn't needed, he won't be on great dosh, he's not from the area, he would walk away. At the end of the day if back in June when the takeover first happened if it had been announced that Hignett was coming in as manager and Richard Money was to be director of Football operations I doubt you'd have seen many people grumbling. Yes it looks a bit farcical and chaotic how we have got to that but that's where we are now. I don't see how gloating (not saying you have in your perfectly fair post Mr Tuner, but others have a trouser tent on) and I told you so's help. Things will become clearer in time, but hopefully we can look back at this as a turning point. Something has to be!! They have been talking about stability all season so even if just to save face they have got to think this isn't short term.

Maybe the story isn’t over yet.

A cheaper alternative to paying him off for failure, which seems to be the norm these days with bosses in all sorts of industries, not just football.

No way would the club have been even considering sacking him at this point, he's been at the club for 7 weeks, and if he wanted to walk away then that costs the club nothing.

The podcast will be an intersting listen hopefully a clearer picture is place after that. You can't call anyone a failure in that short amount of time, things certainly haven't improved some would say they have got worse but we have actually taken more points in six league games he was in charge (five) than we did in the eight before he joined the club (three). It's all shit but it was already heading in that direction and you can't make the manager absolute fall guy, again.

To add to that further Money's new role is technically more senior than first team manager in the grand scheme of things. The job entailed in just restructuring Youth set up is massive within itself as we get no funding from the Football League after this season. He has ran academies at big clubs. If the club is ran better and has more solid structure in every department then it's stronger both financially and has a better chance being successful. He's far more qualified than Hignett to take on something like this, and maybe Hignett has more drive and hunger to prove himself as a manager. Instead of shouting 'disgrace' 'farce' and worse people need to take a step back and at least listen to what has to be said

you are correct if that is the case but many will think its just a way pools are doing something to save a bit of cash as money will not walk. when things are not going to plan lots of people always think the worst and any motives involved.
