Shields won at Sunderland RCA tonight 5-2, so I guess we should get them out of the road next, though that would make for a good final crowd wise

Shildon beat Consett 6-1

Gateshead v Dunston UTS tomorrow

Commentators are GUTTED after Josh Hawkes scores the second.

Thanks for that.

Lets hope Loach doesnt get injured. Good goal from Hawkins and the usual cool calm finish from Hawkes

Think the scoreline flattered us there with a lot of first team squad member playing.

Genuinely can't see why so much was made of this game. Each to their own I guess.

As we know very well when you're 1_0 down you're still in it.
Just a little stat for you all to smile at.
We have a 100% record at the Arena and now a 100% record at the Meadows.
Was that their biggest gate of the season? It would have been if we had taken it seriously.
It was Darlo's cup final after all.

Only 1 starter from last Saturday played (Kitching). Pools' reserves beat Darlo's first team away. Not sure there's any holes to pick in that - they're only 1 division below us.

And the two of the star performers of early season, Muir and Kioso, who from what I saw on those highlights did little to suggest they should be starting this Saturday.

Nice little stadium. I hope Darlo go up, on the strength of the highlights they didn't deserve to lose.

I imagine the highlights are edited with a Darlington bias, it is for their website after all. And whilst it appears we scrapped through, it was their first 11, and a long way from ours, not that our first 11 seem capable a beating team of Sunday school kids at present, anyway, it was a competitive game played in front of one of the bigger crowds we'll play in front of this season, a win is a win and should be warmly accepted.

As footballers love to say, we go again...

Bring on (insert name of another part time club here).

Oh FFS. 10 minutes of highlights is 11% of game time. It's ridiculous to comment on individual performances on that basis.

Just like all those armchair Premier League experts who only ever see MOTD.

The body language of the players has gradually got worse this season (apart from the Higgy blip).
Prematch warm up used to show some enjoyment and camaraderie now its tension and fear.
Negative waves in place of positive vibes.

It is not scheduled to be at Wembley, but if Pools get to the final I think it's fairly clear it WILL be moved to the National Stadium.
