Cheers Mrs Mom, and don't get so excited you get married again! A person can only eat so much marzipan.

A fight to the finish all the way. The last day was like a reflection of the whole season, the lead changing hands throughout the game.

Let's go up again next season, you in 1st and we'll be happy in 2nd place this time!

good? It was fantastic. To be honest I am glad we did it that way, would have felt a bit odd to have won it by default

BASTADS!!!!!!!!!

Only joking!!

My sulks lasted as long as it took to walk into the apartment and say 'Come on we're going out!!' This was midnight and on the way down the second beer in the Soho Bar (Chinese kids trying to rap like black kids are SSOOOOOO funny!!) I said to our lass 'Hartlepool United break your fuc king heart!!' Then I got royally pissed to celebrate promotion.

I will be repeating that feat in exactly one years time, I truly believe.

Congratualtions to Walsall; a lesser team would have crumbled when we passed them in Feb, but they turned their form around and hit us again. Worthy winners in the end. Champions over 46 games, instead of 45 games, 85 minutes and 11 seconds

Special well done to all the fantastic Saddlers fans who have brightened up the site these last few months. It couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch*

apart from us, of course

Thank you, means more coming from genuine fans. Have enjoyed my time here even if you did want to burn me! Here's to a great league 1 season for us both,

Aye, it's been a great battle between the two teams, in a good spirit for the most part - Walsall deserve the trophy as they've been pretty consistent for the whole season. It wasn't Saturday that cost Pools, it was August and September - by which time the Saddlers had got off to a flier....

Still, it will keep my Uncle Rex happy - he's been a Walsall Season Ticket holder for about 40 years....

This is for me part of what makes being a fan of a "small" club special - anyone seriously think that if next season it's Pools (or Walsall) and Leeds going for the title on the last day that their fans would have the same sort of banter we've had going?

You're spot on there mate. We even get the "big club" abuse from teams as massive as Sjoke City

Fans that can give and take a bit of stick. That's why I've got loads of time you you poolies.

The sincere congratulations we've had from many of you lot (even though you probably feel like telling us to welcome to the board) is credit to the lot of yer. Even in the middle of the post match celebrations I spared a thought for you lot and how you must be feeling. Well, let's be honest, 15 minutes earlier I thought it WAS going to be us.

If you can gaurantee us second place next season then I'll give you the championship now. Honest.

Cheers folks,

We both know how it feels to be kicked in the teeth, so moments like this make it all worthwhile. No need for triumphalism because it was so close all the way and fiercely contested right until the very end.

Looking forward to next season!

I hope we don't have to wait another 47 years before winning one again doubt I will be around to see it banghead

Just want to add my congrats to you Walsall fans. I hope you will be visiting the board again next season, even if you are a witch (but as witches go, we prefer you to sarf!)

So as you started supporting Walsall when you were 17, your Mum must be cracking on a bit. What are you doing letting her on a bus on her own at her age??

I've read about people like that, I think Social services should be told.....

Being lazy and copying and pasting

Well I've been feeling really guilty as my Mom had an appointment at the hospital for physhio, I normally drop her off and she gets the bus back. Yesterday I had an appointment at the same hospital but didn't know how long I would be in there so Mom said just drop me off don't wait for me. I was longer in there than I thought. On the way home I turned on the estate where I live and saw the bus and an ambulance, don't ask me how but I just knew it was my Mom. I raced home and rang their home number no answer so rang my moms mobile and my Dad answered I asked where mom was and he said in an ambulance, I just said ok I'm on my way. My Mom had stood up to get ready to get off the bus and some idiot in a van hit the bus and drove off, Mom fell with the bump she has broken her right hip and has had to have 6 stitches in the back of her head. All I keep thinking is if only I had told her to wait for me.

no sons just 3 daughters
