This has the makings of an intriguing game, two teams out of form, one of them the second highest scorers in the league , the other yet to score 3 goals in a league game this season. Hopefully the players will give their all for the manager and the supporters, do that and we could come away with some pride and renewed confidence , if they don't it could be a long afternoon. It doesn't look good , but lets not forget this is the National League, full of surprises ,its 11 humans v 11 humans, its not David v Goliath , Harrogate are not Man City.

Hope I'm not letting me heart rule my head here

2-2
Hawkes 79
2899
702 Poolies

A bizzare line up, 11 players with no idea of the managers tactics, a few aimless long balls and a 3-0 defeat.

True, I just hope we can be just for the day. I hope Money has had them practicing their shooting, our only hope on this plastic pitch I fear, a couple of worldies.

Did nt realise these pitches can be affected like this;
"It is not uncommon for a synthetic surface to remain frozen even when surrounding natural grass areas have thawed. This is due to the low core temperature of artificial turf and the insulating effect that the infill and carpet creates."

Not forecast to be below freezing or snowing in Harrogate Saturday, think you would need this and a covering of snow for it to be called off, nice thought though , would give us time to get 3 or 4 , 19 year old loanees who no other clubs want from NUFC SAFC and BORO

Seriously though, Money below sounding as if a couple will be signed in time for Saturday, his last 2 haven't been from the NE so called big 3, so maybe this will continue.

At the risk of being accused of negativity ! As forums & social media are only for conveying negative vibes lol!

Harrogate 3 Pools 0, unless RM has signed or 3d printed an experienced defender to replace Davies (in the mould of David Mirfin!), a pair of strikers (Boyd & Porter types) who can score goals & hassle defenders & a midfield general (Mark Tinkler !) to replace the injured Noble.
Plus RM has whipped the side into shape & got them fit as racing whippets on Seaton Carew Beach all week !

I hope i am wrong ?? On last weeks showing I some how think I will not be!

Aye Mr Horden, I suspect he will possibly have signed a couple more kids like the last two. I honestly can't see the signings will be the experienced players we are crying out for I would love Neil Bishop from Mansfield for instance, 37 years old, played 24 games so far (shame we didn't get him in the summer as he was linked/rumoured? If I were Hignett,Money & Tommy Miller I would be scoring L1 & L2 clubs who have players not getting a game & trying for loans. I am all for giving the kids a chance etc but what we need now is experienced men who are prepared to put their choppers on the block for the club thus encouraging the rest of them to do likewise.
Another one who we might have a chance of , Andew Nelson from Sunderland on loan (I know we had him before but barely remember if he even got on or was loaned to sit on the bench) could'nt stop scoring for Darlo a month or so back before injury but is fit again & Dundee are sniffing around for him.
Hopefully every possibility is being looked at as love them or loath them Davies & Noble need replacing & we are severely short of quality !

Agree, we need experience in short term, not used as a charity by big clubs to toughen up their weaker academy players. We won't be able to attract the best of what NUFC SAFC BORO have to offer, just the ones they think may not make it and the ones who need toughening up. Someone like Mirfin would be a perfect fit at the moment. Maybe its the young'uns because we haven't a pot to piss in.

Nelson had to return I think because he got injured, seemed a bit lightweight at the time, but is doing okay at Darlo so maybe worth a second look.

Nelson has signed for Dundee he wasn’t injured.

A lot of these smaller SPL clubs must have decided they are going to recruit mainly from North East clubs!

Perhaps tomorrow will be the day that we see the results of Money's efforts over the last few weeks come to fruition - they are having a bad run so perhaps we will finally get to see Pools score more than two.........

Agree. Crossroads tomorrow, it will either come to fruition or shit will hit the fan. He has had enough time now, to at least get the players coughing up blood for the cause, if nothing else.

Yes whatever the result the "coughing up blood for the cause" is required or else there will be a "tsunami of negative waves"
Not from me though you understand.

Positive waves from the club now with the three new signings.
I revise my prediction to a 2-0 spanking of Harrogate with a James brace.

I wanted to change from 2-2 but with these new signings, I'll settle for that.

And the club have supported him with the loan signings - so, proper pressure is now on!

No the pressure isn’t well and truly on, the bloke needs to be given time whatever happens tomorrow, this short term nonsense needs to stop. He knows how to build a decent team at this level far better than any of us, trust him and give him the opportunity to do it. I’m looking forward to watching the game tomorrow now though rather than seeing if anything else is on another side!

Oh yes, he has to deliver now, immediately , that team should be able to compete with Harrogate. Not a fan of us and loans, 1. because we generally sign shite 2. Because we usually dont play them and 3. If they are good we can rarely sign them. However it seems the way these days to get through a season exploiting the loan system to its maximum , teams like Gateshead and Accrington live by it. We are in the cack, so it should represent a way out of our current mess for us too.

Mid table in the National League, with up till today every chance of falling further, we are in my opinion. Will you stop spouting this protect the club at all costs bullshit. Are the club paying you to post this nonsense ?.

What bullshit?

I think trying to put pressure on another manager at this stage is absurd and trying to exaggerate our league position strange.

Adam Virgo is a bit of a dick isn’t he? He certainly doesn’t like Pools.

We made three ‘panic’ signings yesterday apparently sctatchinghead

Also Harrogate are the closest team we'll play this season despite being twice the distance from Hartlepool as Gateshead.

What a complete shambles of a first half. Defence making basic errors every couple of minutes, ditto midfield.

Only saving grace it’s not 3 or 4 nil.

Are we currently the worst team in the league?

Over the last ten games we probably are.

Why does every opposition appear to have more energy and desire?
Harrogate close us down quickly but they have time on the ball.

That second goal was shocking. Gave it away to start their move and then again to let them finish.

Let's see if Featherstone's blunder results in the same treatment as Kioso got for his.

He gave the ball away twice for their second goal - once in their half when we were putting a good move together, then gave them the ball in our own box! WTF?

God we're awful, if we get anything from this game it can't paper over the cracks.

The new lad, who clearly isn't anything like Muir, looks promising. Hopefully him and Cassidy can hit it off and benefit from Molyneux's crosses as I can't see any other creativity in the team. Donaldson looks better in a central role but what can we expect from him with Featherstone playing the defensive role. Surely Featherstone's time at the club is coming to an end?

Do you seriously think there are better options out there? We've tried plenty with similar results.

At least Bates would have players in their correct positions. We seem to have strikers in midfield with centre backs, wingers in central mid. We bring in a left back so Kitchen can move forward and then we put Kitchen at left back?

It's worse than Wilson's Tombola.
