Braintree 2-0 Barnet at the moment. Hitting form. Admittedly Mark Cousins GK sent off.
Still gives them confidence, something we don't have.

Not taking part , at least until Friday afternoon, god only knows what the starting line up and formation will be next Saturday , so until I have a better idea of that , I'm not predicting a score, but 1-2 is always a good shout with Pools. Next week has to be the beginning of a new era, with the likes of Magnay, Featherstone and James, not just out of the team but out of the squad even. Although he saved a penalty today, which is a rarity, I think we should also be looking at bringing in a new keeper as well.

My team against Braintree would be.....
Loach

James Raynes Kioso Amos

Donaldson McLaughlin Hawkes

Muir Kabamba Molyneux

Subs ...Cassidy, Newton, Kitching, Anderson and whoever else looks interested/like they give a f..

And yes that's Luke James at fullback, I can see him resurrected in that position, a bit like a modern day Darren Knowles. He'll get blocks in and tackle and get in behind when pressing. Something our current fullbacks can't do.

Pools will never score more than 1. So the only way they will win is to stop Braintree scoring more than 0.
Can't see it though.

---------------Loach---------------
Kioso-Raynes-Anderson-Amos---Flat back four (let the fookers in midfield work for their pay)

Donalson-Magnay-Featherstone-Molyneux
(Noble)

Kabamba-Muir (Two players who can actually hold the ball)

Noble in place of Featherlite when fit

Pick your own subs

From always being in the starting lineup on merit, Kioso made one blunder that cost a goal and I cannot recall his being selected in the starting eleven since. As one of the few that would be on my retained list in May, I think that his treatment has been awful. If Featherstone is treated similarly, you won't hear anything from me!

Without Noble we must have the weakest midfield in NLN never mind the NL. This is the principle reason why teams create chance after chance. I have no idea how bad Braintree could be, but its becoming quite evident that to win most games now we are going to need to score 3, and we haven't scored 3 since there the council employed a litter picker on the central estate. I think there will be an improvement, but everything points to a 2-2 draw for me.

I see the Braintree manager has left today! Nothing but a win is acceptable in this match and the fans deserve a performance. Fingers crossed for first 3 goal win this season but it will probably be tighter than that.

2-1 win

Kabamba and hawkes with goals

4-1 to Pools in a stunning display of Higgyball. Two from a reborn Muir and another two from a resurrected Noble who also eats a take away at half time (kebab with plenty of salad so it is OK). Money then flexes his muscles as Director of Football and sacks Higgy for taking the piss but before the club can announce it Raj sacks Money and re-installs Higgy. Then he makes Bates Director of Football and the first thing he does is resign Davies on a contract that automatically makes him manager if Higgy doesn't win every match.

Unstable stability is the new way forward. You have mostly the same people but nobody knows exactly what job they'll be doing or when. Money had it working well for the players and now he can join in the rotation game himself.

Well Hignett played 3-4-1-2 against Dagenham in his last home game so I wouldnt be surprised to see....

-----------------------Loach
----------Magnay-----Raynes-----Kioso-------
Donaldson----Featherstone--- Hawkins (?)----Molyneaux/Kitchen/Amos
-----------------------Hawkes-------------------------
---------------Muir--------------James---------------

Always get impression Hignett a fan of James and not sure if Kibamba or whatever he is called will be Hignetts type of player tbh? Cant think of another centre mid to go in Hawkins spot either although there is Newton I guess. Fuck knows who would go left mid.

Defo think he will have Hawkes in his correct position behind the front two though.

Whatever formation a nice 3-0 win.

The Super 6 Stadium is situated on Clarence Road, just north of the centre of Hartlepool.

Directions

From the North (A19)
Exit the A19 at signpost Hartlepool A179 and turn left onto the A179. Follow signs to Hartlepool for 1.3 miles over two roundabouts. At third roundabout turn right (s/p Town Centre, Docks A179) onto Easington Road. Follow Town Centre A179 signs for 1.5 miles over two roundabouts.

At third roundabout (easily recognised by the big balls!) turn right onto Marina Way. At the next roundabout there are two choices - straight on and left to the parking at Jackson's Wharf in the marina area, or right and then left at the lights into Clarence Road to the ground.

From the South (A19)
Exit the A19 at signpost Hartlepool A689, Motorway A1(M). At roundabout turn right (s/p Hartlepool A689) and continue on the A689 for 4.3 miles, through the village of Newton Bewley, to the roundabout by the Owton Lodge pub. Go straight on (s/p Town Centre A689) and follow Town Centre signs for 2.8 miles, over two roundabouts. At the traffic lights just past the Blacksmiths Arms on your left, go straight on. At the next traffic lights go straight on again over the bridge into the new marina complex and straight on again at the roundabout into Marina Way. This is the area for the Jackson's Wharf parking. To get to the ground itself continue to the next roundabout and turn left (s/p The North A179, A1048). Turn left at the lights into Clarence Road to the ground. Should the A689 be closed - carry on along A19 until the A179 (see From the North).

From the Railway Station (Hartlepool)
It is about half a mile by foot to the ground. Walk out of the station to the main road (Church Street) and turn right. Follow the road and the floodlights come into view. Cross the main A179 and bear right into Clarence Road to the ground.

Parking
We have a limited number of matchday parking spaces at the stadium though these are booked on a first come, first served basis. There is also a car park behind the EDC Neale Cooper Stand and street parking around Raby Road.

Flying to Teesside International Airport.
Ask taxi firm to take you to Hartlepool United football ground , don't just say football ground you will end up at Boro or Leeds if Taxi driver from out of area.

You can afford Taxi as you must have a ton of wedge to fly to Teesside International.

Rowing Boat
Slack water preferable, or incoming tide
Place boat between floodlights and row towards them.
Beware of tide, avoid Longscar Rocks, and Sea Haggs, that are able to drink you under the table and your paying, before they disappear into thin air, but in fact have gone to Church Street.

Actual team, think it must be 5-3-2

.......................Loach.........................

.........Kioso....Raynes....Anderson.........

Richardson......................................Amos

.........Donaldson...Featherstone...Hawkes...

................Molyneux.......Kabamba.............

It could be 4-3-3 with Kioso in midfield I suppose.

I am sick, sore and tired of you picking the side and finding out that, once more, you have ignored my immense talent.
It is painfully obvious that not only are you biased against me but you are continuously demonstrating that you know absolutely sod all about football.
You have a complete deficiency when it comes to recognising talent and are incapabale of recognising it even if it was at the end of your big red nose. That is the only similarity that you have with Sir Alex....the red nose.
I shall be banging on your door come Monday morning and you better have answers. banghead :angry-tappingfoot: banghead :angry-tappingfoot: banghead

Derwent, apparently you have been moved upstairs to a new position.

I've been sent upstairs quite a lot, Ed. I've also tried many a position whilst up there, but I get your drift.
Will I be allowed to tinker in my new position. I like tinkering.

I see the Braintree manager has left today! Nothing but a win is acceptable in this match and the fans deserve a performance. Fingers crossed for first 3 goal win this season but it will probably be tighter than that.

2-1 win

Kabamba and hawkes with goals

I'm in complete agreement.

Who says the Bunker bloggers know nothing?

Pleased I was right but it was hard work, if only we could get that third goal to ease the pressure! First half was pretty poor but in patches the second half was decent, nice to see us winning a few headers and second balls for a change. Already got a soft spot for kabamba, works tirelessly, wins headers, has pace and gets on the end of things, looks a good find.

3-1 would have given me a 16/1 win

Kibamba did well, great tracking back after about 85 minutes to stop their attack. James made a difference as did the changing formation at half time. Kioso put in a solid performance again and get impression Raynes will be good for him.

Plenty of effort and desire especially towards the end.

Desperate for a centre mid though.

That was one of Andersons best performances for pools but I get nervous when he's anywhere near the ball! Centre half and centre midfielder and we would look much better.
