I think everyone who attended yesterday's episode in the slow death of our club will have been impressed with AFC Telford.

They were better than us in every way, across the pitch, and their front two, in particular, were excellent - their interplay was a delight to watch.

And these guys have just signed Marcus Dinanga on an 18 month contract.

Now I didn't rate Marcus - why? Well it's either because I know nothing (copyright The Teflon Tracksuit) or because he didn't get a chance to impress/ we didn't see enough of him. Or he really is rubbish and AFC Telford have made a mistake.

But Telford impressed in every way yesterday and have experience of getting loads of goals from Marcus - so that makes me think that any mistake has been made elsewhere.

What is going on?

Dinanga didn't get a proper chance upfront.

So who do we look at and ask, 'are you doing your job?'

Because someone is wasting our very limited resources.

Bates didn't play him and Money apparently didn't rate him either and sent him back a bit early.

HTH (unless I'm spoiling a conspiracy theory).

We are making ordinary teams look good , Kidsgrove would of beaten us yesterday. There is a big gap between NL and NLN, NLS in my opinion. Yes teams are big and strong and organised, but a good NL side should be able to pass it around them. Therein lies the problem though for me, this obsession by the club with developing us into a mini Man City or Barcelona, playing tika taka football, which is ludicrous at this level. It can be done, but you need the players to be able to perfect it, ours can't and those type of players usually cost in the first place, and we haven't a pot to piss in + you still need to be fit and strong playing tika taka, which we are not.

Listening to the podcast, its obvious Money has been given the job on the proviso that Pools continue with this total football philosophy. Money said on the podcast , there are two ways to get out of this division, the pretty way or the long ball way. I got the impression, he was throwing down the gauntlet to Hignett and Co, as much to say, " If this is how you want the club to play, fair enough, I will do it, but I think you will find it won't work, especially without money to buy new players. Then you might realise that there is only one way to get out of this division and that is the way I would prefer"

They mention identity, in terms of a playing style, well is it going to be a mini version of a Bournemouth ,Swansea or Brentford or a Millwall, Burnley or Stoke?. While Hignett is here its going to be the former, my view is it should be the latter, built on strength , pace , fitness and direct , counter attacking football, not pretty but more chance of success at this level than the passing game .

If we're banging in goals from long ball up and unders the punters will go home happy and Pools will survive.

It would be good to chart his progress over the next few seasons...... perhaps he will be the next Jamaine Easter?

As you know, I wasn't a fan of Dinanga, but I reckon had we played him from the start he could of come good. Another flaw with this club, getting players on loan and not playing them. At least Money is playing his loan players, why wouldn't you?. I don't believe a player can go from one with Dinanga's goal scoring record to the Dinanga we saw at Pools , it appears we are adept at destroying players in various different ways , I see it happening with Josh Hawkes and Kenton Richardson at the moment. If Josh or Kenton went somewhere like Accrington they would no doubt bulk up, become fitter and blossom.

Agree but we mustn’t forget the prolific 40 goal Muir, where has he gone?

Yep Ray ! Another example of a player we appear to have destroyed, now looks like he has had the life and 5 pints of blood sucked out of him.

think the lincoln syle would suit me. a steady keeper, no nonesence defenders who could defend, mid fielders who could mix it up a bit and two big lads upfront to worry the oposition. on top of that all to be totally fit. we are in non league football not the bloody world cup.

And me. When you consolidate league 1, then have a think about making it more easy on the eye.
