Salford City have begun an investigation after Braintree Town made allegations of "serious crowd trouble" and assault at Saturday's match at Moor Lane, BBC Radio Manchester reports.

20 point deduction, Rooney to be sold and Rodney to be played every game and all fans banned from the stadium for the rest of the season.!!!! That should do it.

Sounds just as I described it previously. Stewards completely ineffective and allowing some fans in the corporate seats to sit and drink alcohol throughout the game. Just hope something gets done about it.

Its seems quite a few were quick to jump on our fans after the trouble at Salford, especially on that facebook thing and a few on here. One or two apologies needed.

But our fans were involved (along with Salford fans obviously). I just don’t think there is any excuse unless there is a real physical threat. Saying ‘it was them not us’ and turning a blind eye isn’t a healthy way to deal with it in my view. The upshot of a few people acting like idiots is that our police costs will go up. I’d rather we were spending the money on a striker.

That said, I think Salford do have to clamp down on the loud mouths in their corporate boxes.

If someone is right in your face, what you going to say?Oh please go away!

The point is some of our own fans slated our fans when it was only earsay!

Our away fans are probably the best in this league, they go all over the place without any bother, they should be applauded not chastised just because some idiots wanted to have a go at them and they would not be bullied.

Fair play, don`t let the bully boys win.

Pools fans and Salford fans caused chew that night. Lots of mobile phone footage got posted in various places which proves this.

Where is all this so called phone footage of this incident then? I have not seen one video of it, it even on that facefook thing!

Unless you can come up with these videos..

I suspect not!

There are also fans who weren’t there saying pools fans did nowt, Tannerman! I was there and a small number of pools fans got involved.
Perspective is everything and I agree that pools fans are brilliant in the main and have a good reputation. No point getting defensive when there is bother though - like I say, it’s damaging to club and police costs escalate. I don’t think I’m suggesting anything contentious here.

They were taken down off Facebook pages.

One was posted by a Salford fan which showed him amd others goading Pools fans who then waded in before thd police arrived. He was shouting abuse from behind a fence and with the 'protection' of his young daughter. Utter bellend.

Generally works better than going back at them which just escalates things. Ultimately, I can understand people defending themselves if they're attacked. However, if you get involved in the aggressive mouthing off and gesturing that leads to people getting in your face you're pretty much as bad as them.

The point is some of our own fans slated our fans when it was only earsay!

There was quite a lot of conflicting views including eye witness accounts of poor behaviour on both sides. Saying that if people did behave that way they should be banned is hardly slating anybody.

Our away fans are probably the best in this league, they go all over the place without any bother, they should be applauded not chastised just because some idiots wanted to have a go at them and they would not be bullied.

True, most of our fans are excellent but we've always had a small minority who aren't who aren't and there is nothing wrong with saying that. Ignoring or walking away from idiots isn't letting them win, it's treating them like the fools they are. If they still come after you when you haven't responded defending yourself is reasonable. Getting involved in the verbal and physical exchanges that usually come first and then pleading innocence isn't, and we do have fans who do that.
