I predict a pools win of 2-1 with James brace.
147 poolies.
Excellent ethnically sourced pies and spotless toilets with condon machines.

Sorry Mr Horden was a minute behind you.

This unbeaten run is alien to us, we need a reality check.

2-1 loss - all three goals from Featherstone.

I believe that we will learn a lot about our chances this afternoon.
Solihull Moors have let in 13 goals this season but we have found goals hard to come by. Bates should instruct our two hard working forwards to adopt more of a striker's role and play an attacking game. If he does we could win 3-1 or 4-2 but leopards and spots suggest that we will go for a tight game.
If horden is correct and we lose, my hopes of the playoffs will be significantly reduced as we have had an easy set of opponents so far, Harrogate excepted. To maintain our decent top half of table position, we must be capable of getting points against the better teams.

1-1 draw Muir
175 Poolies

Half time (0-0) and struggling to score against 10 men.
If Rates cannot get us playing attacking football in the second half, he's not the manager to get us promotion!

Strangely enough I was just thinking this morning , that we might go down to 10 today, just a gut feeling. Wouldn't surprise me if it still happened. Kioso, you heard it hear first.

Hard to blame a manager when the players are missing chance after chance.

Obviously I'm only going from the radio commentary but unless Bates is sat on the goal line I can't see how he's at fault.

Who's going to be top scorer this season, Noble or Featherstone?! Obviously Featherstone since penners don't count.

1-0 up, Noble... not sure if goals from midfielders count so I'll hold back my celebration.

Phew ! you have to beat 10 men, regardless this will be a good result if we can hold on. Hold on ? we're playing 10 men , making hard work of it again.

An acceptable result but how many other NL teams would have done as well or better! Only 2 teams get promotion.
I believe that our squad is the equal of Harrogate but the difference is that they gained promotion last season whereas we spent most of the season fighting a 'backs to the wall' relegation battle. Harrogate have continued their attacking winning ways whilst we have continued to play without goal scoring flare. If we were playing good attacking football our strikers would be scoring goals. Personally I think that 3-2 wins would be far more likely to suggest that we can get out of this crap league than 1-0's. The game of football is about scoring goals!

I think a lot were thinking today could of been the start of a slump, like last season. To get back to winning ways after the disappointment of Tuesday can't be underestimated. Obviously things went our way, their star man going off and a sending off, but that's the way it goes sometimes, its happened to us often enough.

Obviously would be nice to get a run going at home and see the forwards amongst the goals. We needed a talisman, in Noble it looks like we have one. Great result Pools, 3rd away Saturday on the bounce, that's not easy, especially with the distances involved.

As long as we are winning 2 out of 3 we will be up there or thereabouts.

It's about winning and not losing, I do hope that helps

For example, the run in below, last ten matches, we didn't really hump anyone

Harrogate are better IMO, at least at the moment, though I think we will get better whereas Harrogate may have peaked. In the play offs the team who score the most goals go through, and that could be our undoing at the end of the season.

seven games unbeaten, winning away from home, clean sheet away from home, playing well as a team, obvious good team spirit....yet some folk still moan. some peoples glasses aren't just half empty, they are drained of every single drop and washed clean with industrial strength bleach.

First half we were shite playing long balls up to James .. once they had a man sent off we started playing it about on the deck and looked miles better. Absolutely bossed 2nd half could have and should have been 2 or 3. Pleased :-D

Good to see your Brinkburn education wasn't wasted!

I expected a 1-1 result if you look at my earlier post. When we have over an hour against ten men, a 1-0 is the absolute lowest acceptable result. I think with the right approach and tactics we should be in the playoffs as Davies and Williams can strengthen the team. I want us to win every game but to occasionally show some flare that suggests we can get out of this crap league.

First to put my hands up and admit ive been critical of Mr bates however results prove me wrong - However I still maintain that Janes and Muir are being wasted running wide in there channels - If we can get them in the penalty area when we attack we will score more goals! Just little Tweaks needed and i think we can improve dramatically! - Cant wait to see Davies and Williams in the side - Onwards and upwards!!!
Come on pools!

Before anybody is too hard on Mr Stanley - have a look back at comments on here around the time of the Ebbsfleet loss.

There's half a dozen diehard Pools fans with loads to say when we get beat who haven't posted a feckin word since we started winning. Obviously too delirious with joy to reach for a keyboard...or stranded on a desert island with no signal.

Then again I hadn't seen the comment below when I wrote this. Silence is preferable to wittering in victory.

They hadn’t lost at home since November. To win there is a cracking result.

Whether a you win against 7 men or 11 or if you win 1-0, or 10-0 you only get three points. 17 out of the last 21 available, three points off the top things are looking up. It’s comical to see people looking for angles play our form down. Personally I think theirs loads more to come from this team.

Solihull Moors have the poorest goal against record of teams in the top half of the table. Before today it was 13 compared to our 8. So when down to 10 men they could hardly expect to keep a clean sheet. It is disappointing therefore that our goal starved forwards couldn't take advantage.

Get in we won.
Three points, climbed the table and are well in the play offs.
I like the team, like the atmosphere and am enjoying the season so far.
I'm going to get pissed and revel in it.

Another great result, a much needed one with what looks like a much tougher run of fixtures ahead. Not sure we have got out of first gear yet and should be loads more to come from this team, when davies and williams are fit.

Why not just call it a day and become a Chelsea/Man City/ Liverpool/ Liverpool 'fan' ( delete as appropriate) and save all the stress.
As for the against 10 men nonsense, most teams put in the extra effort to compensate, it rarely makes a difference.

Oh and our midfield are a little slow.
