Having watched Pools last few games I reckon Bates may be right when he says that some team will be up for a right wellying sooner of later. I think that day will be this Saturday coming against Havant and Whatsit. We could have been up 3-0 against Chesterfield and their brutal cheating defence after half an hour on Saturday. The Havant club,according to my trusted non league mate in Weymouth,is in disarray and has found itself out of it's depth this year. The defence is shoddy. the only win being against Braintree where they leaked 3 goals. Again, they were beaten on Saturday by Bromley 4-0 on an artificial pitch. The team were in a sulk in the second half.
I've had a few bets as follows : Skybet : to win by 2 goals exactly @ 11/1. To win by 3 goals or more is 25/1. Paddy Power go 70/1 4 goals or more...you'd also collect on the 3 goals with Skybet. For the combined price of a few pints there's a great chance to win a fair few bob, as the bookies have the odds totally wrong,in my opinion. Bet 365 go 5/2 just for the win. Must be the bet of the season to those of us there last Saturday afternoon.
C'mon Pools.

Got pools to win 3-0 at 45/1
Pools to win 23/10
Pools to win by over 1.5 goals 17/5

Good value bets

25p on each via Coral :scared-eek:

Thanks for the post Ernie.

A bloke i know has always advised only to make bets on things that look good value in terms of the odds offered and based on the knowledge you may have. These being offered in my view are "good value".

Worth mentioning that we're 7/2 with Bet Victor to finish in the top 7. Would mean opening an online account with them, transferring £ into the account, having the bet then leaving it till next year. Is it worth the hassle ? Probably, if you fancy a right go.

Will you accept being 2.3-1 up after nine minutes?

:laugh: You can get a bet on that these days, I'm going for Yubep at 5/2. Mutters is 50/1 as I don't think he has started a prediction and match thread this season yet.

Looks like we might have to have an election on a new official prediction thread starter then. An OPT election.

[quote="Bluestreak"]Thanks for the post Ernie.

pools are doomed now. would not put a penny on em after reading that. when you expect a team to win they always cock things up .

Drew all 3 games at home, including one v Salford. It should be an away win but we shouldn't underestimate them.

Yes that occurred to me this morning when I was putting the bins out. I'm now looking forward to 90 minutes of head tennis with a goal at 90+3 to Havant [Kioso o.g.] Never mind, my post will be there for comic effect.

I had £25 on us to win and over 2.5 goals. Nice end to the game for me.
