Looks like he's trying to force all of his best players in. It won't be easy for players at this level trying to fit into some revolutionary new tactic, they struggle with anything that isn't 442 in most cases. It's early days so stick with it, especially since we appear to have gambled everything on this tactic by starting the season without an out and out winger.

All the best teams have slow starts...

Thought Kioso was quality though, brilliant signing.

I wouldn’t blame the players, it’s the formation for me, and I think we played very little good football today, we are never going to dominate the ball playing 3-4-3. We probably should have got something out of the game but that doesn’t get away from what we actually watched. We changed the formation that didn’t work all day (I can’t remember Muir touching the ball in the box) in the 89th minute.

First half was decent without creating too many clear cut chances. Second half we seemed to just resort to long ball from CB to forwards.

Hi first time posting been reading for years.
Listen to the game on Radio Tees, we where flat and could change system. Ebbsfleet saw that and changed it.
Why did it take Bates (like all Pools managers in past) so long to react to them. 75 mins Bates should have changed it and give us 15 mins to have ago.
