Russ green suspended from all football for a year for his involvement.

Ok if pools broke the rules then as a club you have to accept the consequences
How ever how can we hold the FA responsible for allowing scumbags into our club who didn't have a bean between them and turned out to be as a lot of people soon cottoned on were a bunch of crooks.
Typical establishment go after the little guy when thats all thats left.

Welcome to our world, mismanaged by chairmen and left to pick up the pieces. Its nice to see Singh get a dose of his own medicine from a Darlo point of view but its wrong that Pools should suffer for others mismanagement.

Green fined £10k as well.

There's a bit more on the run up to the FA judgement here:
https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/footb ... Hartlepool

Who are Buncall and Chandler? Were they Pools' employees or 'consultants'?

I feel for Russ Green, I bet he has massive regrets about not getting out when Hodcroft did, he’s ultimately ended up the fall guy when he’s a good bloke who did plenty of good for our club over the years.

its more wrong that fans have to suffer for it. the money paid in fines is dead money which could have been used in the players budget or even new chip fryers.

I have less sympathy for Russ Green to be honest. He was the professional administrator in all of this and knew the rules and the consequences. At his level Russ should have been prepared to say no.

I guess the club can appeal the size of the fine if they choose to on the basis of the recent history, near collapse, crowdfunding, new owners etc or Singh might just decide to accept it.

I can't find any reference on the FA site for the decision report. Anyone seen the detail?

Lets not character asassinate Russ Green too much just yet. Without him you would definitely not have a football club.

Russ Green stopped Coxberg draining 200k out of Pools just after Sage had put their first batch of money in. He was a signatory as CEO and he refused to sanction it and flagged the attempt up to Sage.

£30,000 would buy 50 of these!

The buck stops with Russ. Let’s not be too harsh on him though eh? I mean he’s only been found guilty of fiddling something by the FA and banned as a result but hey he saved the club right? Bollocks. I don’t get the Russ green love in. If he didn’t like what was going on he could have resigned rather than continue to take a wage and picking up his ceo of the year awards. If he didn’t know exactly what was going on he should have.

I wonder how much the fact that Jeff Stelling is on our board, and could therefore criticise the FA over this publicly on his Saturday programme, had to do with the reduction of the fine to £12,500.
Personally I still think it would be good for the little clubs if he did have a rant, pointing out to all and sundry that the FA were the root cause of these so called demeanors by neglecting to do sufficient checks on the new owners.

I wonder if Jeff defends Russ green on football Saturday this week, as he did not long ago, considering his actions cost him n our club money.
