Driving past Pools yesterday afternoon and my oppo suddenly turned round and said did you see Andrew Davies going into the club? I didn't, but he assured me it was. sctatchinghead

Four signings this week and I heard he was one of them.

He would be an excellent signing to be fair, exactly what we need at this level.

Believe that when I see it, I know he's from the area but he played fairly regular in the Scottish Prem last season. If he's going to make it in this league I hope he's going to go on the Craig Harrison diet over summer.

I heard Andrew Davies started a fire at the Vic while he was cooking a barbie after being told to fatten up before we'd sign him.

Hignett had him lined up to sign in the January before Watson came in so I can very much imagine he’s trying again

Not following you there but you do seem to have me down as negative which is hilarious. The only player we've recently signed direct from the Scottish Prem was because he was injury prone and trying to get his career back on track. To sign someone who was a regular such as Davies would be a real coup but apparently me saying so equates to a 'We're doomed' type attitude.

Oops my mistake, Franks also came from the Scottish Prem, maybe I'm giving it too much credit!

You don't need to be a Ukranian weight lifting tractor driver to succeed in the this league.

Really?!

I apologise for making light of our situation, I shall revert to crying about it instead.

Dont cry or apologise.
You get a few on here who who take offence to other people's opinions.

My posts are rarely serious to be fair but I've lost no end of sleep over this thread.

If that’s aimed at comments in other threads that are taken out of context on other social media platforms by attention seekers then I’ll speak for myself and say I can’t even think of the last time I felt ‘offended’ by someone’s opinion. My overiding feeling is sympathy for people who can’t think for themselves and believe every bit of horseshit they read on Facebook whilst rejecting reasoned debate that includes facts.

The ultimate irony is people who ‘love’ the likes of Tommy Robinson aren’t prepared to listen to salient points and tend to get angry. Who’s offended?

Andrew Davies was at Park Drive tonight watching his brother Mark (former Durham and Kent CCC) making his debut for Hartlepool against Barnard Castle.

Hopefully it won't be long before Andy is making his debut for Pools.

A poster on here once criticized Dad and I's diet. Me and Dad haven't slept since.

I'm more surprised you both had time to sleep the amount of food you got through.

Only passing on what I’d heard from a source fairly close to the person mentioned in the OP. I wouldn’t suggest it’s gospel just what I’d heard. Have you waited until late Friday to post that?

Maybe things are sorted but given what happened last weekend and the awful news that followed early in the week the club are holding off announcing signings until next week? I don’t know it’s purely speculation, but it’s surely the basis of message boards in the first place that if you here something you pass it on, within reason.

You could have a point.

It could be considered crass to post a Neale Cooper finally statement at 5pm then wey hey look at this new player at 5:30.

There’s no harm in waiting to announce something.
