I posted in another thread that i had Persian Tea at a cafe called Moulin Rouge on Westgate Street in Newcastle. The tea was clear and served in a glass mug with fresh mint.
It was excellent.
However after asking at shops like Whittards Fenwicks etc and on the internet i just cannot identify this tea or a supplier.
Does anyone know?

ps i was going to write to the Iranian embassy but didnt want Mrs May to intercept and read my correspondence.

Mr Dtreak, may I suggest trying the Internet. I know quite a few countries serve tea like that, the Middle East and North Africa in particular. You may find a tea the same or similar.

Actually not a bad idea. If they have a website, find the name of the tea then look online for it.

Mr Streak, give these people a call. One of my old customers from a previous job, they really know their tea:

Yes, and also Moulin Rouge...

They make it themselves btw, mint and cardamom mainly but wouldn't tell me exactly. Said you can get similar stuff called Sadaf but it's expensive.

Last tried it in the kasbah in Tangiers back in the 80's.the whole experience was ruined by beggars at the table..never again.

Got some Ceylon tea yesterday and I have found it excellent without milk...…goes well with ginger snaps whilst soaking up the sun on the patio at Bluestreak Manor.
