Is this really appropriate a few days after his death, have they spoken to his family? I’m not sure anyone should be voting on on anything this soon. I know the intentions are good but I think people need to back off a little at least until the funeral has taken place.

Concurring with pj. Pools won’t make any decisions until speaking to his family and I think that’s the most respectful thing to do. It’s a highly emotional time for them, let them grieve.

I agree too. It's right to remember him; he's a legend. But there's a time to do things like this. And this isn't the only example.

First time I've really been able to post anything on this. The man was an absolute legend who loved his club and was loved by it. The football family has been shaken by this sad news, and it's proving very hard to process. Sleep in peace, Coops!

I agree with a suitable waiting period.
