Not seen every game but seen a fair bit is it me or have they been utterly shite this season!? Especially the Championship games. Derby parked the bus at Fulham who look a good side to be fair and the Boro were offensively bad last night.

It’s like Pulis had missed the goal in the first leg and someone tapped him on the shoulder with about five minutes left and said ‘Tony you need to score’ If I was a Boro fan I’d be depressed about the prospect of watching that dinosaurs football all season, it’s like he’s trying to recreate Stoke. All the back four massive, smashing long diagonals when they didn’t have a focal point to hold it up or flick it on. Apart from Clayton who plays deep (a poor mans Nicky Featherstone) the other two in midfielders were just bypassed most of the time. The lad Shotton playing right back looked like a centre back playing there all night, they were trying to hoy long throws into the box when they didn’t have anyone who could take a decent long throw it’s like Pukia has gone mad and thinks he’s still actually at Stoke ten years ago, I’m sure I saw him turn to his assistant and ask ‘if something was wrong with Delap’s shoulder’ at one point when another ‘long’ throw barely reached the box. They had that Fabio who came on later at right back and was getting forward and beyond the winger. As for the winger Adama Traore, he’s like shit off a stick literally one of the quickest players I have ever seen imagine if he could play football!? I understand he’s improved this season. I’m glad I didn’t see him last season.

He only changed the system with about five minutes left he even shifted Bamford to the left when the lumbering Gestede came on.

I’m going to stop now because it’s just became a rant about Tony Pulis, but if English football wants to progress and we want our national team to succeed people like him and Allardyce need putting out to grass (as Everton have done today) the game has moved on.

Boro were disappointing last night but Pulis has inherited some bad signing from Monk.
Also some of the long term Boro players are now getting beyond their sell by dates and need to be moved on.
Big rebuilding job needed next season but does Gibson have the cash/desire to go yet again.

I thought they were weirdly patient for a Pulis team. It was like Karanka's brain washing still hasn't worn off so you get the worst of both worlds.

I felt sorry for their fans after lots of them were nice to us but have to admit that seeing George Friend's short long throws was funny.

I thought tactically they were poor more than anything they had the players to cause Villa problems but Pulitzer’s set up like they were away Man City. What’s the point in smashing long punts on to a lone striker like Assombalonga who has pace and likes to play off someone? If Boro were 1-0 up it was a good game plan!

PJ - Traore is arguably one of the biggest prospects in English football right now. Found wanting in both play off legs, but unstoppable for the rest of the season. Move to the Premier League pending...

Boro have been good under Pulis but looked strangely subdued in the play offs.

5 goals in 34 games is hardly what I’d describe as unstoppable.

I have read all the hype and links to big money moves, you can see why as he must one of the quickest players to ever play but technically and in terms of football brain he looks to have a long way to go still but I suppose clubs have the money to take the risk. The best player on the pitch last night was Grealish he does look to be maturing and learning his game.

Would you rather talk about something topical such as the royal wedding and Harry's new in laws who appear to be from the cast of Shameless?
Now that's something that's actually already more tedious than a Tony Pullis Boro team.

Also it says a lot when ‘arguably one of the biggest prospects in English football right now’ is a 22 year old Spaniard who has already been sold for a combined amount of about £17 million!!

He could develop into a top player but he’s massively over hyped which seems to be the way these days.

I agree with the majority off what has been said about boro here but at least they got in the playoffs they have had a succesfull season in my book couldn't do any worse they have some half decent players a meen look at Sunderland's players they are reportedly on 70k some off them and look at where they have ended up, Fair does Boro have a bit more stability about them than Sunderland do, But if something doesn't need fixing then why fix it? They will go up next season in my opionion I've watched Them a few times and if they keep some off the players they have and add a few more they will be there or there abouts.

I find it funny that already relegated Sunderland got as many against Wolves as Boro did in their home playoff game. They don't really deserve Gibson if they can't sell out in a game that big.

Oh look Moyes is also on his way, no doubt him and Big Sam will get another lucrative job mid season, keep a team up playing god awful football and maintain their records enough to get them a similar deal the following season. One positive is it seems highly doubtful that Alan Pardew will get another job.

Got a feeling Blunderland will get one of these big managers.

Could be but only if he improves his decision making and his final delivery.

Anyone can look good in a montage video to be fair. Few Boro fans i've spoken to reckon he can be good in bursts but no real final delivery.

He has obvious abilities but how many of those clips show him do something eye catching then it stops at the point he’s going to cross it or pass? I haven’t seen him much in terms of full games but had heard all the hype and him being linked to clubs like Spurs. On last nights evidence on the big stage he’s still incredibly raw and nowhere near that level yet some of his passing and crossing was woeful, he reminded me of a young Matty Robson. 5 goals at Championship level in a poor return for a player both Boro and Villa paid decent money for and his two seasons in the Premier League previously have been as a bit part player who had no end product in relegated teams. He’s an exciting player he could turn into a gem but I think some of hype has been way overboard. As I said earlier Grealish looked three times the player.

Onto tonight’s now I reckon this could be a good game, Rotherham’s ground looks the best example of a lower league new stadium I have seen, good rake on it and spot on in size even thought I though Millmoor was a cracking ground.

As for Scunthorpe what sort of cowboy outfit goes into the League One play offs with a caretaker manager?

I think we should just have 7 or 8 friendlies against Accy.

Onto tonight, keep it going Exeter, Lincoln and that talentless fat cheat Rhead can fuck right off. This game is like good versus evil, Tisdales teams always try to play.

I don't mind Lincoln but Rhead can fuck all the way off to Hartlepool for me. Perfect for this league, nasty fat get who'd be perfect alongside Rodney.

I’d tolerate him at Pools for a season in a horses for courses situation but he will still never be a footballer as long as he has a hole in his arse, Lincoln have done very well but I am pleased for Tisdale and Exeter at this scoreline.

What a shame for Sam Allardyce's protégé, Kevin Nolan. Filled his Notts County team with big, old buggers and got himself upset at a disallowed goal that should of stood. Would have made all the difference in a tight 1-4 defeat.

They were totally outclassed and their brand of football will rightly be in League Two again along with Rhead next season.

Should be a decent final between two footballing sides, good luck to Exeter but it will be tough for them.
