I'm looking at taking the bairns camping for the youngest's 7th birthday, and he really wants it to be near the seaside. We will be over in the Bristol area, so can anyone recommend any sites on the coast south of there? Is Weston-Super-Mare any good?

I've heard Bude is nice but popular with older folk.

Couple of hours south of Bristol, North Devon coast is really lovely, lots of good campsites and beaches. If the distance is ok I can point out styles of campsites to suit.

I nearly posted something like this on this thread yesterday;
