I was very saddened to hear that Jacqui had died over the weekend from terminal breast cancer. Jacqui was instrumental in working with Phil Dunn and myself in setting up the Supporters Trust. Her energy, knowledge, passion and enthusiasm when she was already ill was truly humbling.

Despite being disgracefully treated by Supporters Direct when they cut off her sick pay during her illness, she carried on bravely and was cheerful to the end. Jacqui was also a legendary campaigner for women's rights in sport.

Pete, her husband, is letting me know when the funeral is and hopefully we'll have a turnout for those of us who had the honour of working with her and getting to know her.

RIP Jacqui.

Really sad news :(

Think I was there at the original meeting and she spoke really well, clearly very intelligent and passionate. A big loss.

An absolute diamond of a girl. I was always stunned and full of admiration for how she battled on for several years after only being given weeks to live. Totally responsible for setting up hundreds of Supporters Trusts across the UK...what a big miss she is going to be.

I was at that meeting in the clippy club, she spoke unbelievably well and you could see how passionate she was for the whole supporters direct/trust movement.

I also think it was her who said the biggest opposition will come from your own fans.

RIP Jacqui.

Very sad news,

I had contact with Jacqui Forster, she was dedicated to Supporters Direct, Football Supporters Federation, supporters trusts and believed in fans working together. She was a gem of human being and may she rest in peace.
