Really shocked to hear this. Believe he was working in a local care home in York & his picture was in the York Press last week as one of the residents was celebrating a significant birthday or something. Took me back to the days when we had a team of honest triers.Unlike some of the shysters masquerading as pro footballers stealing a wage in the last few years.

Funny how players are here for a few seasons, leave and for some reason you have them locked in your memory as always that age and events like this come as a shock. 61 is no age nowadays though. A sad piece of news.
