Guessing is about as useful as saying you didn’t hear

I'm not guessing, just not fully remembering. If Paulus didn't have a ticket in the range 1000 to 1099 he hasn't won.

How come 1000 is 1075ish, but 1100 isn’t?

If he was he would have pointed out your need for a question mark rather than the exclamation mark used.

As a bit of half time fun when Billy West attends we try to get a glimpse of his number, then when he has had a couple of pints at half time and comes back asking what was the half time draw number, we tell him his number.
4 times the daft bugger has set off to claim his winnings before we have told him he hasn’t actually won.
He came very close to winning one game, well he stood next to the bloke who won if that counts.
