Has anyone else noticed you can tell when the binmen have been as there is so much shite left in the streets?

Our overworked bin men were supposed to resume emptying the garden waste brown bins this week, they failed miserably to do so on Wednesday and my 83 year old mum was forced to drag a full brown bin back into the garden in the pissing rain. Perhaps it was a case of 'a bin too far' or maybe they were tired? Just a thought.

When we had all that snow a few weeks ago the bin men missed our bins for 2 weeks. We were informed both the green bin and the black bin would be emptied on the Tuesday.
Tuesday comes around and I watched them as they first emptied the green bin and then the black recycling bin into the same wagon!!!!
So much for recycling!!!!
And on a few occasions over the years my bin hasn't been emptied and left with an orange tag....one reason they never emptied the recycle bin was because there was a pizza shop box in it!!!!
Wankers!!!! rakxe

For me it all boils down to being awkward or bone idle. If a plastic bottle or something similar falls off or out of the bin when it’s being tipped into the truck, all they have to do is bend down and pick it up, it’s not rocket science, it wasn’t there before they arrived, so PICK IT UP and put it into the truck. It’s not like the awld days when they had to sling a very heavy bin filled with hot ash etc up onto their shoulders, walk to the bin wagon and hoist it in. Now they don’t even have to walk up your path for it. Don’t have to drag or carry it, wheels do that and hydraulics lift it in. Rant over!

I know it’s been bin day when my bin has been emptied.

HTH.

Put the brown bin out and they emptied them on the opposite side of the street, but left our side unemptied.
The biggest load of bollocks was being told after the snow that if the bin lid wasn't closed flat the bin wouldn't be emptied when collections would be resumed . Clueless.
